Our guest this week is Ben Ayres from the legendary British Indie band Cornershop. Together with band mate Tajinder Singh, Ben can lay claim to a unique place in musical history as the only band to have a single top both the National Charts and John Peels Festive Fifty with the timeless floor filler 'Brimful of Asha'. Currently celebrating 30 years in the business Ben has seen it all from the giddy heights of the Top Of The Pops studio to the literal factory floor where piles of plastic were pressed into vinyl treasures for music fans around the world. Ben takes the time to share some of his Phonographic Memories with us as well as waxing lyrical about his obsession with the black wax.
