Join us for an episode of sneaky spooky warlocks, the inherent colonialism of museums, and beeeees! As you advocate for racial and economic justice, educate yourself and others on oppressive institutions, and protest safely for communities free of police brutality and other forms of violence, please check out some organizations that we've donated to and have found instrumental in supporting Black trans lives and trans sex workers: For the Gworls Medical Fund (through the Arts Business Collaborative): https://www.artsbusinesscollaborative.org/asp-products/for-the-gworls-ftg/ This fund helps Black trans folx afford transport to clinics and pharmacies (as well as afford co-pays) to access necessary prescriptions. G.L.I.T.S: https://www.glitsinc.org/donations This organization is doing amazing work for trans sex workers, including supporting asylum seekers, connecting community members to health care services, promoting trans visibility, and finding/creating housing for those in need of shelter. The Okra Project (through the Arts Business Collaborative): https://www.artsbusinesscollaborative.org/asp-products/the-okra-project-sponsored-project/ The Okra Project connects Black TGNC chefs with other Black TGNC individuals to provide healthy, home-cooked meals (among a variety of other programs, including grocery funds and organized affinity spaces). The Marsha P. Johnson Institute: https://marshap.org/donate/ MPJI works to support and protect Black trans people through organizing, advocating, and creating a space that encourages the Black trans community to thrive.
