S2E9 (episode 19): Jason Wang on second chances after incarceration

In this episode, Jason and Jeffrey discuss Jason’s very difficult upbringing as a child of immigrants, how he ended up in  the criminal justice system, and ultimately how he changed his life and the lives of many others for the better. Along the way, he became an entrepreneur, a catalyst for change, and an incredible example for those re-entering society after incarceration. He started FreeWorld. FreeWorld empowers people who have been in prison with educational support and technical skills to enter into high wage, high demand careers so they can live fulfilling lives, prison free. FreeWorld aims to break the cycle of recidivism and generational poverty by demonstrating the potential of reentering citizens creating meaningful career pathways and providing critical support services for the individuals and their families to overcome significant barriers.
