Send us Fan Mail Eric Jones joined the fire service in 2006 and has served as a volunteer, part-time and full-time firefighter. Eric is currently a Captain and Training Officer with the Scottsburg Fire Department in southern Indiana. Captain Jones is passionate about continuing education and training in the fire service. He has worked with several organizations including the IFIA (Indiana Fire Instructors Association), FDIC (Fire Department Instructors Conference), IDHS (Indiana Department of Homeland Security) and more developing programs, conducting training and education boards.
