Just mention women and hair and you’ll get an almost visceral reaction. Why? Because I don’t know a woman alive who doesn’t have a hair story. And for Black women, it’s been especially complicated. Generationally, Black women have been taught that their natural texture is nasty, dirty, unruly and unattractive. But over the past few years, there’s been a migration towards embracing it.
