S3.E4. The Soul of Man (1) - Being Transformed (37:36)

In brief summary of Jesus’ instructions to His disciples in Mt. 16.24-27, He makes a connection between the “soul of man” and: that of a cross, of losing or saving his soul life, of the soul’s relationship to the second coming of Christ, and finally of rewards according to one’s works. All of this is unique to the salvation of the soul, which is just a one-third part of man; the salvation of the whole man involves the redemption of his spirit and body as well. At first glance the passage seems to contradict the idea of binging saved by grace which is the foundation of the Christian faith, Eph. 2.8-9 “ 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast.” And so, we must dig a little deeper to understand just what the soul is and the nature of its redemption.For other episodes, find us at https://ufsministries.com/podcast
