Rise Up Nation, meet Laura Crowther!   Laura Crowther is the Chief Executive Officer for the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors®, representing over 5100 Realtor® professionals in Horry and Georgetown Counties.  Prior to joining CCAR in 2009, she was the SR Vice President of the SC Realtors® in Columbia heading up their Member Service, Professional Development and Administrative division.  She started her real estate career in Florence where she was the Broker/Manager of Century 21 Richardson Realty for 11 years. Laura is a Past President and Realtor® of the Year for the Realtor® Association of the Greater Pee Dee, received the REALTOR® Association Executive of Excellence in 2011 and her REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) in 2013.  She most recently was awarded the Almond R. "Bud" Smith Leadership Society Award by her Realtor® Association Industry peers.   Outside of the Realtor® organization, Laura's community involvement consists of the Partnership Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation Board, Waccamaw Community Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity and a graduate of the Waccamaw American Leadership Forum & Leadership SC.     Laura is a native of Florence, SC where she earned her BA in Mathematics from Francis Marion University. An avid music lover, in her spare time, she and her husband Bill travel the globe for music!     In this episode, we chat about the trends of the housing market and how the pace has changed. Laura tells us the hot topics she would teach realtors and what she thinks of the current housing market. We also learn of Laura's eternal optimism, how working out in the morning gets her going for the day, and more about her love of music.
