An obscuruce is created in the absence of love and in the need for companionship. That time in Dumbledore's life came when his sister died and everyone he knew blamed him for it. Credence's power might come from his creator. If Dumbledore was in need of a peer, an equal, making Credence as powerful as he was could be explained by that. Finally, in the screen-play of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Credence is on a ship with his aunt. If Credence and Albus are sort of brothers, might they share family?
