Good afternoon everybody. This is your host Jack package with the Daily Mayhem recapping and putting a bow on Myrtle Mayhem 2024. Thanks for joining us. You can follow me on Twitter at JMU Monty and you can follow the podcast on Twitter at the Daily Mayhem 1, the number one.
Listen, this was a great year. The trophy husbands against the Droschank Redemption and the match came down to day four. Day one at Litchfield or I'm sorry at Myrtle Beach National West course. Trophy Husbands got out to a lead 13 and a half points scored versus the Droschank 7 and a half.
Low round of the day was shared by several teams. It was a 75 Evans Moran, Preeti McCann and Denora Hartaman all shot that. But then the next day Droschank day two at Litchfield, the Droschank Redemption came back and did they regain the lead? Yeah, they regained the lead.
The difference was six and day two, Droschank took an eight point lead that day. So eight point advantage that day, winning 14 and a half to six and a half. And low round of the day there at Litchfield was the Norah Cremble. So going into day three, we had a pretty tight match, a two point match.
Myrtle Beach National Kings North, one of our favorite courses down there. And again, Droschank Redemption took the day 13 to eight, I believe it was. So a five point advantage. The Droschank extended their lead a little bit at Kings North.
You had two teams tied for the low score. Paul Yves Saint and Steve Hardeman shot a 72. And then Brian Reed Rick Moran also shot a 72. So going into the final day at TPC Myrtle, Droschank had a lead.
I believe they needed 10 and a half points to close it out. It was going to need a pretty good day by the trophy husbands to take the day. But overall, TPC Myrtle, the points were split on day four. And we wound up with 13 and a half points for the Droschank and 13 and a half points for the trophy husbands, which gave us a total of 48 and a half points for the Droschank Redemption, 41 and a half points for the trophy husbands.
And the Droschank Redemption took Myrtle 2024. We'll have some guests on and the captains to discuss some of the matchups, the choices, the pairings, how people played and what they thought. We'll also have a few guests, one or two guests on to just discuss the new house and some of the different things that occurred down there. Some of the banter and jokes and people threatening to beat people up and different things that occurred down there in Myrtle Beach, but Surfside Beach, I should say.
But really, overall, another great trip. Droschank Redemption takes the day, wins Captain Dave Dwyer. I believe he's now the number one. Yeah, he won his 13th mayhem and now is the clear favorite.
Da Nora and Rick Moran both have 11 mayhem titles, but Dave won his 13th. So Dave continues to be the standard bear for Myrtle and the mayhem. He's won more than anybody and he just seems to get it done down there. So great job, great trip.
Overall, we'll be back later this week to talk about some of the events and happenings that occurred but wanted to update the scoring and who won. Congratulations to Team Droschank Redemption and a valiant effort put up by the trophy husbands, but in the end it was just too much Droschank. Kings North seemed to be the day that really sort of swung things. Big day at Lichfield.
So those two middle days opened up the gap and you know, too much for them to overcome on day four. Anyway, thanks for listening. Appreciate it. We'll have some more episodes coming later this week or next week with some analysis of Mayhem 24.
Who knows? What's the next one? Will we have a Pinehurst 24? I'm not exactly sure.
That's not in the works yet, but we'll wrap it up. We'll do some analysis. We'll do some recaps of this year's event. Another great event.
Thanks to Dave Dwyer, our cruise director and coordinator, the guy that sets this whole thing up. Also, the, as we just discussed, he's the Mayhem champion. He's the one that's won more titles than anybody else. So deservedly so.
He puts in a lot of the work beforehand. A lot of folks put in a lot of work when I get some of the guests on this week. We'll talk about that. But thanks again.
Droschank Redemption, winners 2024, Myrtle Mayhem. Remember everybody? Hit them straight. If you can't hit them straight.
Pop a beer. Hit another one. If you don't hit that right, let's your partner hit another one. Whatever.
But enjoy it. We had a lot of fun. It's a lot of fun on the course. Thanks.
Also one last thing. Shout out Walter Maysa and his wife Ashley had a beautiful baby girl on the final day of Mayhem. Walter couldn't make Mayhem this year because of his wife being pregnant with their first child. Congratulations, Walt.
Love you, buddy. Everybody sends their love. Congratulations and enjoy the new addition to the family. Congratulations.
Thanks, everybody. We'll see you soon. Bye bye.
