S3: E9: Mother's Day

In this episode, Pastor Rhonda and Pastor Seth look at one of the stories of motherhood in the bible. They look at the story of Hannah, and parlay that into the gospel passage of the lectionary. John is Jesus talking about the fact that He will not leave us alone, but will send an advocate for us if we keep His commands. Hannah is a story of suffering and agony. She is struggling with the reality of not having kids, but it does not end there. Her rival is using this against her. Hannah was faithful in her journey, in her sacrifices, in her prayer. God sees and through Eli, advocates for her. She has a son and gives the son back to God. The blessings keep on coming after that.
