S3 Ep 11 Ron Dyer

This week's guest is the remarkable Ron Dyer, the man behind the Dallas Drum Jam. Ron, a Dallas native born in Oak Cliff, has been a pivotal figure in the local music scene. His journey with music began as a young child in the 1960s, playing drums in his uncle's band. Despite the challenges of being self-taught, Ron's passion for rhythm has taken him around the world. In our conversation, Ron delves into the history and evolution of the Dallas Drum DJam, an event that has become a cornerstone of the Dallas music community.  We also touch on drum classes Ron offers and his next project, The Healing Drum foundation with a mission to help musicians in Dallas get insurance and finical help.
