S3 Ep. 28 - The Trinity
from Understanding the Bible Hosted by Pastor Steven
The Trinity is a made up English word for the concept taught in 1 John 5:7. The word trinity is not found anywhere in the Bible. 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." The Word is described in John 1 as being Jesus Christ. This episode breaks it down barney style (Barney Fife or Barney the purple dinosaur - either way, making it simple to understand) to explain something that can be very confusing for people. The Trinity is a very important concept that believers in Jesus Christ really need to understand as it goes a long way in explaining who He really is. The idea of being a Christian is quite simply being a follower of Christ, so listen to His own words and follow along in your Bible.
