Four main strands of symptoms for PTSD:- Intrusive thoughts, emotions and feelings (flashbacks, smells, and tastes for example from a traumatic event)- Avoidance - avoiding triggers or stressful stimuli.- Change in moods or psychological wellbeing; depression, anxiety, little appetite, difficulty sleeping.- Hyperarousal; been jumpy, irritable, and panicked. Hyperactive nervous system response.
