S3 EP 33 : Advice Imposters

from Really Riley · host Riley Couture

Why is it so hard for us as adults to just be selfish? Well let me backup and say that differently? why is so hard for good people to be selfish in a way that benefits them? As little kids we have absolutely no shame in asking for what we want, and saying no even when we know that our parents are going to get mad at us if we do. In this particular podcast I go into the idea of being selfish and not wasting your precious time on people that are advice imposters. You know the type, the ones that come to you under the mask of needing guidance on a situation on to therein word vomit their issues all over you. Then when you're standing in a pie of emotional puke, they turn around and do the exact opposite of what you told them to do. And then the cycle continues. In this episode I chat about how we need to start a "Me march" movement and kick the emotional vampires to the curb.
