S3 Ep. 49 – Church Pt.4 – The Tabernacle

The first building that God ever instructed humans to build was a tent called the Tabernacle. This was literally the dwelling place of God when He led the people out of Egypt, all the way until the time of King Solomon when a permanent Temple was made. The tabernacle had specific gold and silver fasteners and plates that were made to be taken apart so that they could move the building as God led them into the Promised Land. Certain priests were named, the tribe of Levi was specifically called out to serve, and these people were consecrated to the service of God and given the privilege of meeting with Him in the tabernacle.
