The answer is not as simple as you might think. Spain has introduced a “positive list” approach, meaning that not every exotic or wild animal can simply become somebody’s pet. There are also increasingly strict rules surrounding the commercial sale and transfer of companion animals.And, of course, sitting in the middle of the room is the big elephant… or perhaps we should say bull.Bullfighting.Fran and I have already dedicated an entire episode to this controversial Spanish tradition, so we are not going down that road again.
