S3: Ep 7: Ortho - Bionomy by Bec
from Core Convos with Bec · host Bec
An amazing episode with the incredible Bec Gutsche. Talking all things Ortho-Bionomy. No idea what it is??? Listen up! Ortho-Bionomy shows the body, through physical and energetic patterns, how to understand its own functioning. It’s a "returning" to its most natural state for that space in time. Sessions are always done in comfortable loose clothing. An Ortho-Bionomy sessions starts with evaluation of how the body presents, checking the condition of the tissue and the function. I check the range of motion and tension; hold the joints in a comfortable angle, followed by applying gentle compression and holding in that position for 10 to 30 seconds. The therapy is ALWAYS done without pain or force. The client often responds by saying they feel like they have melted into the table. There is a gentle flow to the treatment moving carefully around the client using intuitive and educated moves. I liken it to playing an instrument, waiting, listening, and getting to know what works and what doesn’t, being curious and open for things to transpire. Creating a calm still space the body reacts to the information points and gently and subtly starts to deeply let go of tension and stress. Ortho-Bionomy helps clients to bring their body out of “Fight or Flight” and into “Rest and Restore” (the Homeostatic State or the Healing state). There is a whole range of conditions Ortho-Bionomy can help with including: Joint and muscle pain Neck and Back Pain Body pain caused by Car, Horse, Motorbike accidents Headaches/Migraines Whiplash trauma RSI - Repetitive Stain Injury Frozen Shoulder Ankle/Foot Pain Structural Imbalances Fibromyalgia Rheumatoid Arthritis Physical conditions associated with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma If you are interested in a session contact Bec via her website https://www.ortho-bionomybybec.com.au/ or find her on Instagram @orthibionomybybec
