She has twenty-five years of service as a professional paramedic and eighteen years as a professional firefighter/paramedic. While active as a first responder, Christy never allowed the experiences of her tough job to get to her,  even though she had seen some of the most shocking and awful things in her 25 years, she thought she was dealing just fine. Suddenly, literally out of nowhere, Christy was brought to her knees by PTSD.
