At the time she wasn't told the truth about how he had died, but at age 16, her mother finally told her that her father had been murdered, in a home invasion. Something just didn't add up, and  over the years that followed, Madison made a decision that she was going to look into the unsolved case, and try to put the pieces together to find out, who killed her father.  Her father's background, his dealings, and the details of the crime, just didn't make sense.
