Dr. Cynthia Shelby-Lane saved many lives as an ER doctor in a level one trauma center in Detroit over twenty years. She has since pivoted and pivoted and pivoted. She is constantly reinventing herself. She is currently practicing anti-aging medicine and is board certified in anti-aging, functional and integrative medicine. (Yes, please.) She is also a stand up comedian and has been performing in Detroit and around the US for the past 15 years. She combines the two by educating audiences on the health benefits of laughter and humour and is certified in Laughter Wellness and Positive Psychology.  She recently gave a lecture at Gilda’s Laughfest called “Laughter for the Health of It: The Serious side of Funny”.
