A leading Los Angeles Culture Bearer and Self-Help Graphics’ 2017 Legacy Artist, Consuelo is widely known for her extensive work in Chicano art and culture, particularly for her Day of the Dead installations and altars. From curating multiple arts exhibitions and cultural tours for the Los Angeles Metro Transit Authority, to being interviewed by scholars from Rutgers University and Fordham University, to being interviewed by several media outlines such as Good Morning America and National Public Radio, Consuelo has been recognised for showcasing her Mexican heritage in a beautiful, uplifting light. Having held executive positions in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Departments of the Writers Guild of America, West, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television Radio Artists, Consuelo is dedicated towards encouraging equity in hiring and authentic representation of disenfranchised talent in entertainment.
