S3E1 with Ashley Beedle

We are back in the game! We have been quietly preparing Series 3 for the last few weeks and now we are finally ready to fire the old pod canon again. This week we bring you a Christmas special to get you back into the swing of things, it's 80 minutes of hot pod action. Our guest this week is a true legend of UK House music, the one and only 'Daddy Ash' DJ and producer Mr. Ashley Beedle! Ashley has had an amazing career releasing over 1000 tracks and remixes over the last 35 years. He was a member of X-Press 2, The Ballistic Brothers and The Black Science Orchestra. He has had a number 1 hit with his remix of Elton John's 'Are you ready for love?', he created the all time club classic 'New Jersey Deep' and is currently churning out incredible remixes for Ramrock Records through his 'Northstreet Productions' moniker. Prepare yourself for tales of The Guvnor, personal recovery, love and a never-ending musical obsession. BUT THATS NOT ALL! In A&E this week Anne tells us how to keep calm in the public eye. Eamon and Anne exchange Christmas gift ideas for the music lover in your life. Dr. Jennifer Otter Bickerdike talks to Eamon about her book 'You are beautiful and you are alone - The biography of Nico', then Anne chats to fellow Chess Records obsessive Richard M Ganter about his beautiful coffee table tome 'A tribute to the Chess Record Corp'. PLUS! Because it's Christmas we invited some of our favourite people along to record the first What Goes Around Xmas Pop Quiz! It's the 'Groove Gurus' featuring 'Motown Jo' Wallace & Anne 'The Monster' Frankenstien versus 'The Bass Notes' featuring Bibi 'Bruiser' Lynch & Eamon 'Miracle' Murtagh. The quiz master is Hoopla Improv dynamo Conor Jatter. HELLO! HELLO! IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK!
