That All Nations Might See

The Book of Acts is the story of the Gospel moving outward—until the whole world hears. In Acts 9–10, God takes Peter on a mission that changes history: opening the door for the Gentiles to come into the covenant community through Jesus Christ. After the conversion of Saul (Paul), Acts turns back to Peter—because Christianity doesn’t become a global movement by accident. It becomes global because God sends His Church beyond comfort, beyond tradition, and beyond “our kind of people.” In this episode, we walk through: • Peter’s “keys of the kingdom” moment (Matthew 16) and what binding/loosing really meant • Miracles in Lydda and Joppa—how God prepares Peter step by step • The raising of Tabitha (Dorcas) and why it spreads the fame of Jesus • Why Peter staying with Simon the Tanner matters (unclean profession, clean mission) • Cornelius the centurion: a God-fearer who still needed Christ • Peter’s vision of the sheet—and God’s command: “What God has made clean, do not call common.” • The miscalculation Christians still make: confusing closeness to God with superiority over others • God’s heart for the nations—from Genesis 12 to Deuteronomy 4 to Isaiah 42 to Acts 10 The point is simple: God doesn’t bless us just to keep us safe—He blesses us so the lost can see, hear, and come to Jesus. We are not superior. We are messengers.
