Episode Notes S3E44 -- Join us as we dive into the mind of Award Winning Producer & Actor Martin Webster. Martin will take us on his journey from being a frontline soldier in the British Armed Forces to his smash hit Penitent. Martin Webster is a former frontline British Soldier. Serving 12 years in total in war zones such as N Ireland, Sierra Leone and Iraq. From 1995 to 2007 Controversially he left the army in 2007 after being cleared of an international incident where he filmed his fellow Soldiers beating Iraqis who had been throwing grenades at them for days. In 2008 he was diagnosed with PTSD. Ref ; Martin released a book in 2008 Soldier of Consequence and a film Diary of a disgraced Soldier 2009 winning several awards. Martin wrote and produced both projects and self funded both ventures. He is a Master Trainer of NLP & Hypnotherapy and his trauma based therapy is called HMS Therapy. In 2015 he starts his second film about the Bosnia war called Penitent and the cast is made up of Former soldiers, the film goes on to win over 20 awards around the world including the Cannes World Film Festival where it wins 6 times.
