S4#14🇺🇸🇬🇧"Industreet : densify to free up"

from Com d'Archi

Mastery of a project depends on mastery of its construction. It is this motto that has driven Samuel Poutoux, architect, and Marc-Henri Maxit, economist and carpenter contractor, to create L’Atelier WOA (Wood Oriented Architecture). Since 2012, the two 'partners in crime’, and their associates, are specialists of mixed construction systems where wood plays a central role. At a time where economy of ressources is necessary, whether it be material or land, their practice articulates mixed structures and programmes. In this episode, through Esther’s voice, they talk about two of their projects sharing one plot of land. Two different clients, two different programmes, one site. How did L’Atelier WOA use densification to harmonize various uses and allow the creation of a shared park in the middle? This exemple illustrates how WOA implements not only ecological and economical solutions but also social and societal intentions, often forgotten by green labels.A testimony full of nuances and optimism on creating today a living environment for tomorrow.Image teaser DR © Atelier WOASound engineering : Julien Rebours___If you like the podcast do not hesitate:. to subscribe so you don't miss the next episodes,. to leave us stars and a comment :-),. to follow us on Instagram @comdarchipodcast to find beautiful images, always chosen with care, so as to enrich your view on the subject.Nice week to all of you !
