Jest porozumienie między Izraelem a Hamasem o zawieszeniu broni w Gazie. Na podstawie umowy wolność ma odzyskać 50 izraelskich kobiet i dzieci spośród 240 osób, które od półtora miesiąca są w niewoli Hamasu w Gazie. W zamian izraelskie wojska mają na cztery dni wstrzymać bombardowania Gazy, a z izraelskich więzień ma zostać wypuszczonych 150 palestyńskich kobiet i dzieci. Ale to dopiero początek uwalniania izraelskich zakładników Hamasu.
