Hi, I'm Jack Package and welcome to the Daily Mayhem. This is a podcast that chronicles a trip taken by a group of friends every year at Myrtle Beach for some bad golf and some good laughs. These are our stories. Alright, well, we're back.
The Daily Mayhem's back. Jack Package is back. An unsanctioned golf event. Unsanctioned Myrtle Mayhem Golf Event is occurring in Pinehurst.
Unsanctioned. Walt Meza is back. We've got a lot of backs. We're back.
Excited to talk about this. We'll have some guests and some discussions coming on here in the next few days. But in two weeks, we are heading to Pinehurst. We've got a three-day event with a little practice round at a resort called Pinehurst.
At the cradle, many people say Pinehurst, the home of American golf. We're looking forward to it. So here's the deal. We've got an eight-man tournament coming up.
We're going to not do these bastardized rules where you drink and get to re-hit shots and all this crap. We're going to play Real Golf with handicaps. And I'm excited about that. I think a lot of the guys are excited about that.
Saturday, October 11th, we are going to play a course called Highland Saturday of course, beautiful college football day. So early tea time, eight o'clock, home by 1230 college football for the next 12 hours. Then we get up early Sunday morning. We're playing Talamore.
We love that course. And then what with Sunday NFL football? So we'll head home and we'll watch football for 12 hours. And then Monday morning, we're playing Legacy and then we're heading home.
So excited to get Walt back in the fold, excited to have the boys together for a little college football NFL Sunday weekend. Excited to play the cradle at Pinehurst and excited to just see the fellas. I was not at Myrtle in March of 2025. So I haven't seen the boys in a year or so.
Some of the boys. And excited to just play our own ball. So we're back. We'll talk maybe about the courses.
We've got a new house, similar location, new house. But we've got eight guys packaged, myself here. Of course, Ken Preedy, trick organizer, Dave Dwyer, organizer of the Myrtle event, Alan Evans. Is that Crembo?
Jay Chiclow. Haven't seen Chiclow in a few years. And Rick Moran and the one and only Walt Meza has added a child since our last trip to Pinehurst. And he's only been on one of these trips.
But he's involved in the group. Well, one of these episodes I want to do about our Saturday college football pick. And Rick can Walt and myself pick college football games. Each of us has to bet the other guys bet.
We bet a parlay with all four. And we are terrible. We're four picks a week. We may be.
We may have five wins out of, we may be five and 15 on the season. Maybe worse than that. We've been disgusting. And I would really like to get really all three of the guys that participate.
I would love to have four guests. I mean, three guests and myself talk about how shitty our college football picks have been. But it'll be fun to see everybody. We fun to do those picks there and make our bets live in person, kind of root those picks on.
But we're happy to get him back in the fold. Walt has never met Rick. That'll be exciting because Walt and Rick, I know everybody talks. We're in this college football pick.
I mean, boy, it is a shit show. Really looking forward to this thing. Really excited to be back. We'll give you a couple of updates between now and then maybe talk about the new house, talk about the courses I'll get to make at least one appearance.
And we'll gear up for the trip here in just a little under two weeks, Friday, October 10th, we head down. So, Walt, get ready for that airport lounge. And we'll see everybody soon. We'll talk soon.
