S4 E21: Epilepsy Patient, Lonnie Kessler

from The Conversation, Cannabis & Christianity podcast · host Miguel Torrez

Does Jesus assign or allow pain and suffering to teach humans life lessons? Cannabis patient and advocate Lonnie Kessler is the survivor of 14 surgeries, including an 18-hour surgery to remove a tumor the size of a softball from his brain. After several attempts to gain access to the Missouri CBD program, Lonnie decided to make his voice heard.  In 2015 he was afforded the opportunity to work with New Approach Missouri to legalize medical marijuana. Shortly after legalization, Lonnie realized there was a need for education and founded Medical Missouri to act as a medical cannabis consultant for Missouri patients. Through the formation of Medical Missouri, Lonnie has helped hundreds of people obtain their medical marijuana card, provided cannabis education and worked at a cultivation facility with experience in post-harvest production.  Lonnie has appeared in several publication including the St. Louis Post Dispatch, The Kansas City Star, St. Louis Today and Scripps News.
