S4, E3 - SB 387 The Learn Act

On this episode of On the Job With PORAC, PORAC President Brian Marvel and Vice President Damon Kurtz sit down with PORAC Legislative Analyst Randy Perry of Aaron Read & Associates to discuss SB 387. This bill, also known as the LEARN Act, would require the Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) commission to work with stakeholders from law enforcement, the University of California, the California State University, the California Community Colleges, and community organizations to develop a list of courses to include as requirements for obtaining a basic certificate, as specified.
