Lights, camera, action...woman acting interested Take One! Isn't that what women have been taught to do since someone decided that having a man want you was the ultimate accomplishment? That's why I balked at a post I saw on Facebook urging women, "if you are interested in a man, act like you're interested." And while I fully understand the intent of the post, as a woman who spent all of her adult life trying to be good enough for the men she wanted to want her, I know that "acting interested" does not guarantee anything. Besides, it's disempowering and downright manipulative to "act" to get what you want. That's why, in this episode, Suzette rejects the premise that acting interested is good advice. Rather, she believes that "being interested" is better. It's honest! Being interested is behaving in alignment with your authentic truth. If you don't know what your authentic truth is, you're not alone. Many high functioning women struggle with it. You've been taught to accomplish. That's different from relating. That's why relationships can be challenging. To help, Suzette offers a one-time free consultation for women to help them to connect with their authentic truth and be present in their relationships.
