S4: E8 - Tapping into Ritual with Emily Quinton

from Tapping into...with Sarah Tobin · host Sarah Tobin

In this week’s episode, I chat with Emily Quinton who is a dear friend of mine and I am so honoured to talk with her and share her wisdom with you all. As a Mum to four neurodivergent children Emily has created herself a powerful set of daily rituals that ensure she has the energy and grounding to cope with both the knowns and unknowns of her life. Emily shares with us her daily rituals where she creates space for herself in the simplest of ways making it achievable, whilst also weaving the sacred into the everyday. This conversation follows on so beautifully from last week's chat with Rebecca Campbell (episode 7). We discuss the difference intention setting can make each day, the impact of self-awareness and responding to that awareness with kindness. Let us take you on a journey to consider how some of these rituals could influence your life positively. Key takeaways: Your daily rituals can be as simple and manageable as you need them to be. Intention setting daily is powerful, especially in those moments where you are feeling negative emotions as you can come back to your intention to support you in that moment. By just adding the self-affirmations ‘I love you, I am worthy’ to your day you are starting to create your own ritual. Sometimes within a neurodivergent family you need to accept that some things might not change and figure out how you can live with it or if there are situations that you can impact to find the system required and develop it. By nourishing your own foundations you can be grounded to be what you want and need to be for yourself and your family. I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.  About Emily: Emily Quinton is an author, speaker and creative who is happiest when surrounded by nature, especially flowers.
