Making a return visit to the ship.energy podcast, this week’s guest is Valentina Keys, Senior Associate in the Environment, Health & Safety Team at law firm Watson Farley & Williams. In conversation with Mark Williams, Valentina assesses the impact of the Carbon Intensity Index (CII), which came into play in January this year. She also looks forward to the discussions and decisions expected to come out of the meeting of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 80) in July, such as the revision of the IMO’s initial greenhouse strategy, first published in 2018, and the ratification of the Mediterranean Emissions Control Area (ECA).
