S4 EP17: Healing the Planet with Rebecca Cutehands from the Live Event, Evening Under the Stars

Join Jamie and Maggie Clark with their guest, Rebecca Cutehands, as they talk about healing the planet. In this episode, she shares how her connection to the Earth helped her recover from being paralyzed and how she used that to help others. Rebecca is a spiritual guide with a beautiful affinity for the planet.   Natural Gift Medicine goes far beyond the physical; medicine is also for the spirit in the form of prayer. As a child, Rebecca grew up close to nature. She narrates how her play would involve making stone circles and putting perished bugs and spiders to bring them back to life. It may be child's play, but that was the manifestation of Rebecca's healing ability. Even more, while she was born Catholic, her Native American roots still come forward in the form of her reverence for nature. Rebecca's awareness of her gift was during a ceremony on Serpent Mound in Ohio. The native leader picked her to hold the prayers of the North. It was overwhelming for Rebecca, and so she wept. Eventually, it was her turn, but she was still able to say a prayer despite her situation. The words came to her naturally as if running like water. Rebecca is a naturally gifted healer, and she discovered it at 19. Right there and then, she understood why prayer is medicine: it heals, guides, and allows one to go beyond themselves.   Healing Experience Rebecca had her share of experience getting healed. She was diagnosed with a rare nerve disease that left her a blind quadriplegic for three and a half years. At first, she was fighting for her life, but she completely gave up when told her time was up. At 24, she was dying. Yet, she lived because of her encounter with a Japanese man. She felt him sitting next to her. The man put his hands in front of her face, and within minutes, Rebecca's eyesight was restored. First, she remembered seeing a white light, then everyone in front of her appeared, indicating that she could see again. That was the start of Rebecca's journey to healing, with the man becoming her teacher and healer. In a matter of time, her recovery progressed to her body, and she was no longer paralyzed. The experience made it clear to Rebecca that her purpose is to help heal others the same way she did. That was only the start of her journey towards a bigger part of something.   About Rebecca Cutehands: Rev. Rebecca Cutehands is a spiritual guide who assists each individual on their journey within.
