The Berlin's built on us. Perfect, perfect. Welcome to another episode of Radio Revellent. My star was, but my name is Alberto Calderon.
Your host has always, and let me... Oh man, I got it. Yes, music. We gotta go.
I forgot about you. Welcome to our finale, book reports on the Book of Boba Fett. Come on, that reveal at the end of the theme music, the use of Boba Fett's name. Perfect ending.
But we'll get to it. So joining me today, our friend for this, past six weeks, Alty, and of course, if we're doing the Book of Boba Fett, I have to have Maggie here. Of course, for the finale. Maggie Lovett.
How are you doing today? Good. How are you? I'm good.
A little bit behind some personal stuff. I don't want to get... Whatever. I see two of us are currently rubbing the Martian Roadshirts.
Oh, I had that one last week. You can never escape Martian Road. No, it's... I know.
Next week is the Fallen Star. I don't know how we're gonna get through it. We'll see. Martian Road.
I gotta redo my villains episode, because I think he went up a few noches after the Fallen Star. It took you three books to, like, really? No. I mean, he's up there.
He was there. I think what he did this time is like, I'm done playing games. I think I can do this myself. I've been trying to think.
What? I was just trying to think, like, through the past weeks when I fell in love with him. I really can't remember. It was just like...
The first short-list picture that you saw in this. No, it was since... Land of the Dead, I like... I can't remember what was a part of that.
I was like, yeah, I love you. It took me a while. At the beginning, I was like, okay, then now just another group. By the end of it, I'm like, okay, I get what they're doing.
But anyway, that's the Harry public. We'll get to that later. Although there is a new site and we might touch upon that. It's about the Harry public.
So, yeah. I just was just gonna say, just not to leave it out there. I'm fine today, this morning, I was a little bit... whatever.
Today's the 10th anniversary of my mom passing away. Oh, so sorry. That's fine. Thank you.
But it's okay. She always kind of was there for us. We're not getting care about our hobbies and our friends and all that. I always say here, my first Star Wars memory city on her lap watching me come up with me.
She's helping me through my traumatic experiences watching Jawa the hot for the first time. So, yeah. So she's always part of the show, at least in that sense. That's just part of my Star Wars story.
But today, talking Star Wars, talking about what we do that. Let's talk a little bit about Star Wars news. Star Wars news. And Star Wars news, and I forgot to do, you know, guys, subscribe, like, comment.
All that stuff you're supposed to do on YouTube. You don't know by now then. Do it anyways. But the big story this week was finally, we got a poster reveal and the release date for the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus series.
A lot of people thought it was dropping May 4th on May 25th. May 25th. Everyone here is a Kenobi fan. So, Maggie, sorry with you.
Are you glad that we finally get this announcement? Are you excited for May 25th? How are you feeling? Oh, yeah.
I'm so excited to finally have a release date. I got to write our article over at Collider about the release date in the poster, which got me really geeked about it. I'm just glad that it's not made up for it, actually. I really like that they chose May 25th because there's some symbolism there for how many years it's been sweet first saw, then Kenobi on our screen.
So I thought that was a pretty neat way to, uh, misdirect, I guess, because everybody assumed it was going to be May 4th. So, yeah, I'm still surprised that it's so close. It's one of those things that really is already in like two and a half months or three months. I thought the bad guys were going to come first because of some other rumors out there.
But, I'm glad that finally we're getting Kenobi and there's a big game tomorrow, which where a lot of trailers drop. Any chance we can see how Kenobi trailer tomorrow on the Super Bowl? I don't think so really. Hi, Dale, by the way.
Dale is here. So, I don't think we're going to get a trailer for Kenobi tomorrow. I really don't. I'm very excited that the show's coming on the 25th for the same reason Maggyset.
It's the 45th anniversary of the existence of the Lincoln away. The poster was really cool, actually. Even though it's like, I think we all like, if they told us we're only going to get one teaser poster, I think we could have all guests. Oh, it's probably going to be him walking through the sand zone.
So, it was predictable, but he had like a t-shirt. So cool. Who's I say? That's the big thing.
I know it's of all the things really. I kind of think they went like just draw something on his hand. Forget it. Make it look like a lightsaber.
Star Wars fans won't care. They care. They care a lot. I'm not going to take a wild swing.
It's Qui-Gon's lightsaber. I love that. That's really cool. So, I enjoyed the poster.
I wasn't going nuts about it. Like you said, Otibah, we would expect. I thought we might get a maybe Kenobi a little bit closer to kind of the frontispy in the far back, just wearing a weird kind of open shirt with the clothes all open. I thought it was Vader's helmet.
Anyway, the lightsaber to me just threw me. He said, yes, I like the saber. Oh, he's that Anakin. Oh, he's holding Anakin's.
Yeah, he grabbed the other movie. And you can't tell. I don't know how you're telling that. That's black.
It's got like a gold ring on top. I don't know about it. I mean, it's a poster. It's not a shot from the show.
So, like, who cares? Yeah. But anyway, at least we got a poster. We got a release date, which are the important things.
We still don't know, at least I don't remember how many episodes. We know it's a limited series. Rumor is where between four and six. I don't know if it's being confirmed either way.
You guys know. I always heard six. That was originally announced. Okay.
So six, hopefully close to an hour with Disney Plus Star Wars shows. You never know. It can be 35 minutes. It can be an hour like definitely above it.
So, and another news item. What's the day also? I'm not in a good position to type and put in my razor crease together. Hopefully you don't drop it.
But it's more canon. You leave it not this year. Yeah, you gotta leave some pizzas out. I'm just saying process of deconstruction or something.
So the other Star Wars news, and I didn't type anything for it. Not because I'm building the razor crease because I was a bit lazy. So yesterday during the High Republic show, big reveal was the titles of the next couple of books for phase one, I guess, of wave two. Or anything that kind of stood out.
I know we talked a little bit before, like, yeah, titles, but. Yeah, I can't remember any of the titles I know. I'm excited. Yeah, for High Republic.
So, right? Yeah, sure. Yeah, there we go. Maggie, excited for even a little bit of tidbits about High Republic.
I'm excited for the writer, just because I'm like, vainly hoping that she writes romance. Because she's a really talented romance author and she's written some of my favorite romance young adult stories as well as a couple of little novels. I'm really hopeful that she gets to bring some of that to Star Wars because we thought, you know, we've got shades of it. We've had, you know, LSR and Avar and, you know, all that.
Thank you, thank you. So, like, we get a little more spice into the High Republic. I mean, if we're going to get something that's going to have to be High Republic, not just with LSR and Avar and Staland, wherever you are. But even with Midnight Horizon and learning more about content size background and all that, there's a lot of romance and, you know, just content then we've seen and everything else going on with those writers.
So, yeah, I think romance is Star Wars. It should be a little bit more in the upfront and the High Republic is that, what to do with? Hello, Tony, Mr. S is here.
So, yeah, apart from what you guys mentioned, also excited for Claudia Grey, I was always on social writing a comic series or a limited comic run. So, it's going to be very interesting. I think they had three or four comics coming out. So, it's going to be very cool that you're going to have to catch up there.
I was going to say, you should be proud. I finished the episode of Shadows. I read all five. So, at least I didn't know one.
Thank you. I'll turn away until next week. I'm behind on that one. You should really check out the Marvel one because you get the second half of Fallen Star in that comic.
So, you should really check it out. Do we think anything interesting out of the changing the comics to Dark Horse instead of Marvel or? It's just contract stuff. Okay.
Yeah. Okay, it's basic stuff. Come on, it's contract. It's technically like back home because that's where it makes.
I'm excited for it to go back home. It's all my time. Yeah. All right.
So, I guess I'll have to get into a few more comics. Come October. So, we'll see. All right.
So, I think that's it for the news. We're here all to talk about. Boba Fett, also this little guy. You got a friend down there who made his appearance.
We'll see how we felt about it. I know how I felt about seeing little Grogo again and no Grogo. Oh, man. I'm going to leave him here.
Yeah, just leaving because I got to have a talk within a few minutes. Okay. We're here to talk book of Boba Fett on our book reports. All right.
So Finale Boba Fett came and went six weeks, seven weeks, a lot of controversy. I don't know if controversy is the right word or a lot of talk, a lot of divisiveness in the fan on the past three episodes. Maggie, I always want to start with our guests. Overall, what were your thoughts on the series?
I can wait till you finish your pizza life. No. Your thoughts coming into this episode, this finale, overall thoughts on the series so far and then real quick, your thoughts on this last episode before we get more into details. I think that I might be in the minority.
I'm saying that the book of Boba Fett worked for me quite largely. There was definitely parts of it that I thought could have been stronger, could have been better, and I credit a lot of that to just John Bander's writing style is not particularly my favorite writing style. He tends to do a thing where he thinks that audiences can get from A to C without the B plot and that B plot is very vital in a lot of ways. So my biggest complaints overall with book of Boba Fett is really just the writing.
I thought the direction was fantastic. The entire way through really happy that Robert Rodriguez got to really nail that finale and do very Robert Rodriguez moments, you know, the spin in particular. But it worked for me. And you know, as much as I still don't 100% understand why they chose to have two episodes, two and a half episodes focused on Den and take that deviation away from Boba, I try to look at it as like, they're just building out more of the universe.
Everything's kind of very interconnected. We're going to get more of this and like weird deviating episodes. So it worked. I thought it was a good Star Wars story, not the best book of Boba Fett story, but a really good Star Wars story.
Alright, and we'll get into the little spin, the little twirl, we'll get into five rows writing actually. We can take a little pause, but a little pause without yet last week actually we, our friend also was here and talk a little bit with Filoni. It's time to kind of take a step back and we'll do the same thing with five row. All day, we know your feelings on the show because you've been here for six weeks.
But in this last episode, again, before going to specific details, did you enjoy that? Not really hit the mark for you. How are you feeling by the end of it? Just a second saying hi to Mo and Mr.
Res agrees with Maggie. So yeah, definitely. I liked it. I really, really liked it.
Again, it was weird to have that interlude right at the end of the season. I've had issues with the show here and there, but overall, I really liked it. I don't think I like it more than any of the two man those seasons, but I really like both seasons. So it was a cool show.
All right. So yeah, I'm there. I've watched it three times. I'll say, yeah, I know it's not I watch a little bit before just to make sure it was still in my headspace.
So last week, I said the first time I woke up early because I didn't want to get spoiled. I usually wake up at five 30 last week. I woke up at five was able to watch it. I'm thinking.
So this one's hopefully it's gonna be a little bit longer. So I'm gonna put my alarm for four forty five. So I'm gonna be. Yeah, I know.
I woke up around three forty or something. Just kind of have to go to the bathroom or something. Okay, let me check how long it is so much for having enough time. Oh, it's one hour.
Okay, perfect. I can work at four forty five. Get dressed. Get my kicks things ready and go watch it.
I had a freaking nightmare, but it was five thirty and I hadn't done anything. I was still working with my coffee cup. It's five thirty. This one hour and I have time.
It's exactly. And then I woke up. Okay, so I was able to watch it. Glad I didn't get spoiled.
And the more when I finished the first time, same thing I enjoyed it. But I was like, I kind of missed a mark a little bit. Just as a finale. But the next two times I enjoyed it tremendously.
I really love what they did. My guy, my normal. I can't stop smiling when I see that guy. I know I might just read his whole scenes in a few minutes.
So I did enjoy it. I got it. That was an impressive display of restraint exemplary strategy. I got it.
And I'm gonna do it. I don't care. But yeah, same thing. Is it your next cosplay?
Are you gonna be the major drummer? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if I can fool the head tales.
Maybe I don't know. We'll figure that for the long dress. I don't know. Maybe.
I don't know. Okay. So same thing the mandala laurin kind of interludes which I enjoy those two episodes for what they were. If I have to pick what were my favorite episodes.
It might be episode six. But as a whole book of Boba Fett thing. I don't know how I have my thoughts. Let's just go into it.
And I don't know how TV shows I made. I don't know how movies are made. So I'm not wanting to say all the student affairs that you can say that whatever and they change their director's vision. I don't know.
I don't know anything about it. But the more I thought about it was that it kind of seemed that whoever pitched the show was John Favreau or Robert Rodriguez. They had their idea. This is gonna be a Boba Fett's rebirth.
They didn't with the Tuscans and then taking over Jabba's territory. And they said, okay, green light. Let's go ahead. And then somewhere in between us they're writing the series.
So one said, okay, but we're gonna be actually making this expanded mando. So whatever. So we gotta find a way to join the two. And then they just jumped those episodes in because they add nothing to the story.
As much as I love them. They don't add anything. And they're finally sorry. Grog, we're gonna talk about you.
He had zero need to be there. He didn't add anything. And I'm sorry. I know you're extremely cute.
I said, oh, when I saw him. Don't put it so close. Wait a second. I'm doing the same.
Oh, no. I'm fighting him. No. Did I talk about it?
I'm not gonna look at it. And we'll get through it. I just agree with you, man. I think he was.
I don't think he took away from anything. He was just there. He arrived. I was scared when we saw the X wing.
I was like, I was too. So we let's start there. We got most of us are looking great and it's a little bit further. Let me get to it.
Anyway, you can keep talking. There's the X wing. Yeah. So when I saw the X wing, I freaked out.
I was like, here goes like 10 minutes of the episode. But when I saw it was just him and our two, I was like, Oh, okay, cool. And then he disappears. He comes back like at the third act and he just puts that record of sleep.
We have that huge scene within. Yeah. He was. I don't think he took away from anything.
That's the way I see it. Dude, season two, we spend the whole season preparing for them to be separated. And then that's another thing. I'm talking about this specific episode.
He like his involvement in the episode. Because with that, I think. When we get to his part, I'll keep talking about why that reunion come on the biggest, anyway. So I don't even know where I was.
So let's just. So before we get into the story, I'm kind of finished with everything out there before the episode. You mentioned Maggie, he thinks that people are inside his head connecting the same dots that he's trying to connect living kind of crumbs in between. Is it time to kind of step away from his involvement in all these Star Wars series?
So I think that the thing about John is that he has a really good storyteller. Like he's very good at coming up with stuff. And he's really bad at executing it. And so I think he would serve really well as a showrunner with a team of writers writing his ideas.
Like the way a lot of television shows are written, you have seven or eight people who are hired in the writers room. They either independently do an episode or a team of to do episodes. You have some big shows where the showrunner who maybe writes one episode of the season, maybe co-writes with somebody else. But they're the idea of person.
And so I think that's what John would be best served as. Because I don't have fundamentally none of his stories are bad. He does quite well at coming up with stuff. It's just the execution like you're a writer.
So you understand this. Like your characters will usually tell you exactly what they want to say. And like in this past episode, there was a glaring moment where his characters clearly wanted to say something and he just did not give them the dialogue to say. And it's the Cad Bane moment because you know, casual viewers have no idea who Cad Bane is.
We have this weird exposition right before he dies. That's talking about an unaired unfinished episode from the Clone Wars that nobody really has seen even hardcore fans have probably not seen that. But you had a moment where Dan and Boba or in the sanctuary and Boba asks Dan is Cad still out there. It's Cad out there.
And Dan had the perfect opportunity to say what's the deal there? What's this story and Boba could have told him? And that's like the thing with John is he tends to miss these moments where his characters are like telegraphing. Let's have this conversation.
And he's like no, no, no, no, no. There you go. I know what you're saying. I don't need anybody else to know.
It drives me crazy. The writers. Yeah, nor how is he here. Get ready.
Thank you, nor for being here today. Most of the time, we'll be better as executive producer in her opinion. I agree. I think.
Yeah, the missed opportunity. And I thought it was coming, especially when they saw each other for the first time. I think Boba was going to have a different reaction. And then we can even, I mean, we don't have any flashbacks.
So a quick flashback to it. Or just like you mentioned, always Cad Bane there. All of us all in Mando know who Cad Bane is and does have to kind of. Why are you guys almost killing each other in the middle of the street?
I think they did. I think they did. You know, Finix Chand knows him too. We just saw her kick his butt in the back batch nine months ago.
And then no recognition. Just like, oh, another blue guy that's trying to kill us. Yeah, it's I think you're right. It's sometimes the show felt like all the fans know what's going on.
And sometimes like, no, we got to explain a lot of things like three times. But I think both of them did a good, good way of bringing this universe to life. Kind of this Disney plus Star Wars series that again, first time doing all this. But they're going to step back.
That's why we talked last time a little bit, not afraid about kind of, let's say all the other social goes with how much involvement if you don't want to have their. And I don't know apart from Mando season three, if there's going to be a range of the new Republic or something similar that they might be involved in. It's kind of like you said, it's bringing new blood into this. Hopefully with Kenobi, Akola, I know those we can get a different kind of view of Star Wars because right now it's kind of, I don't know, it's not him for me like it did when he was new with Mando season one and two.
All right, so let's get into the episode. So like we said, like we said already, we have that great shot of Mosespa and then we get, we get back to go to a sanctuary. Unfortunately, it looks like no one survived, which is something we talked about last week. Like really we're doing this.
We're killing one of the only main female characters on the show with no reason. She's not in the back at the end, unfortunately. And then they have this conversation of, are we going to stay here? Are we going to go back to the palace?
We're going to hide this fortify herself there and then the bikers cat and dress and say, no, no, this is our people. They want us to protect them. We're staying here and they decide to stay. All these surprise that Joyce had didn't make it, still holding up hope as the show started.
I was pretty sure she was gone. Like that thing really, really blew up. And I wasn't holding out hope. So obviously Maggie, we didn't talk with you last week, but general feelings about what happened with the guys.
I can just blow up and then not even a mention really from Boa from this episode. Her only name was by the major when he's meeting with the Paistans. I didn't give you permission to bomb Joyce's answer. She only mentions you getting a one hour episode.
Yeah, I was really annoyed after the episode ended because I had prepared like two rants anywhere that I was allowed to rant about bridging female characters because it's like one of my biggest pet peeves and unfortunately almost every form of media because it happens consistently. And it still ultimately was used for man pain because it was a fight. So it was still for Boa and not for any real purpose. But I felt like they did it so dirty because they didn't give us definitive proof that she said and I very much operate on the nobody not dead.
Same reason I don't believe that solo is really dead because the body vanished. So nobody, not dead. And I felt like they did that on purpose to mitigate people being mad because now you can't really be mad about it because there's that person that's going to always be in the comments section and be like, oh, you didn't actually see that she was dead. So she was not actually dead and that even went before because now I can't be fully bad.
Pull off until like season two or another reference of her and another show. And I just don't know if they didn't know it greatly. And there's that great interview that Jennifer had done where she talked about all of this extra character work that she built into her character with a scar and all of this character building that she clearly was like, I want this character to go somewhere and then they were like, yeah, she's going to go off and smoke. What's no sayinote?
So her head cannon is that Maxrio was not in this in the sanctuary because the pikes told him that they were going to blow it up. So Maxrio went back and saved the car so forth. Now he's actually goes into it real close to that last time. Yeah, he went through the rubble.
Maxrio wasn't the legal thing. So he's like alive. Oh, if it's lego, it's canon then. It's canon adjacent.
So it might have kind of like the events are real, but not the details. So he lives. I mean, we hope but that explosion was a pretty big explosion. Even people outside went flying.
So I don't think anyone inside made it. I know they're not going to show, but where do all these bodies go? One second, there's 300 dead people and the next second, there's no bodies in the whole. All the pikes are there not just food for the rancor, but while just looking back to the palace, every time the rancor is hungry, just fixing a dead pike.
Oh, God. I'm sorry. I saw you eating. I got into that space.
They got like a rag and bone man or something like that coming on and takes the good stuff off the bodies and takes the rest to the right. Yeah. All right. But keep going.
We mentioned that X-Wing comes in. I freaked out like, no, really, we're going to have Luke Skywalker here. He has no business. For a second, I thought maybe it's one of the newly public marshals and that's what she's saying.
Office of Office of Office, you saw R200. Okay. So it's them. Then we get the little guy.
That seems very funny, by the way. Yeah. Hi, Dad. Honestly, no, I'm a sir.
Oh, man. You guys are making me doubt my decision, but I'm not going to. Anyway, so Grogo's there. He's everywhere.
Even funny about Grogo. That's a terrible name. He's like the character and sir for all of us. Yeah, my wife was.
Yeah, right. So he's talking for all of us. I heard something that I don't know how real it really is, but apparently that was George Lucas's reaction to the name and they wrote it down. I would not, but that passed him because I could see him being like, that would be like a very George Lucas thing.
Oh, Grogo. That's terrible name. I don't know why I always thought that he had okay the name already. We'll check with him.
So that's like a big thing. Yeah, just Grogo. Everyone think you're going to start with a Y. Keep the Y kind of thing going with you and then yeah, but anyway, Grogo.
Apparently it's not a fan of Grogo. All two. It's a fan of Grogo. Just not the name.
Sorry. Sorry, Grogo. And then all two kind of come on. Watch Mando.
This is important. This is my, whatever. I get a little guy here. Like you said, she's the insert.
She doesn't care about anything else happening around. Just give me a little Grogo. But then we get the trash talking to Mando and to everyone with both of it and we start getting where everyone is the. Good night.
My sweet princess. This guy is by the space board. They send. Okay, so who's idea was to send the lone walk into transdotion territory and nothing was going to happen.
I think that was the end idea because he's terrible ideas. He also has really bad ideas. Yeah, maybe we'll talk about one that I really and then the best basketball went to where the athletes went where and just kind of taking control of everything. And then we have this meeting that happened a little bit before we kept being those two talks to the pikes.
My boy, the mayor is there is little fuzzy face, which I love so much. And then that's when we learned that it was the pikes that killed the, the task. It wasn't the raiders. I mean, the bikers, like we kind of thought when Ben showed up last week, I thought maybe he had done it.
I'll be surprised that it was actually the pipes who. No, it's too down. It pretends to be shock moment. Like I think we, I kind of saw it a mile away.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What's been it being like really?
Right. It's like, wait, wait, no, no, this line is going to come back later. Yeah. So I think one of our shows we all said it's going to be the pikes.
It's kind of obvious, but with catbane coming last week, I thought maybe that pikes and catbane to do it, but catbane was shocked. It's like, Oh, I didn't know the pipes were so ruthless. Oh, calculating or whatever they say. And that's when he kind of like, Oh, okay, I can't use it to my benefit.
I thought he was trying to kill them till the pike. Main bad right there when the mayor as how far it is going to go. Oh, it depends how much or too stomach can handle. I think it was going to kill him right there.
But no, it keeps going. And then we got now we talk a little bit before it's the issue. So it's there, both of it. And we get that big kind of confrontation finally that we've been waiting for years with this.
I think we talked already about this. Oh, wait, wait, I gotta pull this. I gotta, I gotta talk about that guy. No.
So price up that they didn't just shoot themselves right there. I was expecting for them to do the shoot out when they saw the first time, but kind of fan action as always. That was a reason kind of not always gonna wait when I play our hand. I love that scene because it reminded me that fan action is not only like his enforcer.
She's also like his constellated like in the mafia. It's like the advisor then. So she has like a she I saw a lot of complaints that she was sidelined and I get it. She doesn't really show up that much, but she's like very important to this episode.
And she has like, she basically solves everything. Like while these people are like doing cool things, she's out there like saving everyone then going to do the thing. And so I being a man, I was like, yes, shoot each other and then comes down and she's like, you know, calm down. Like stop the pissing contest.
Like, yeah, even Dean was hiding. And friend is like, dude, I'm doing this. Get out of the way. I just want to say one thing.
Something that always impresses me like both is wearing a helmet and you can sense like he just wants to like take out that gun and shoot him. And that's like a recording thing in Star Wars where characters with masks. Do you just like feel the emotions and attention even though you can't see their face? I'm always fascinated by this.
Yeah. And I think not just that and like Maggie mentioned at the beginning, some issues with the writing about the direct and the flow of Rodriguez in this episode. Again, I don't pay attention to that stuff. I know that critics I can't point where all these work better than the other in terms of directing.
But there wasn't a single point where I could point, oh, what was I thinking for this scene? Like a lot of people were kind of blaming him for other things that he didn't like. But most of the shots in this episode were just perfect. Great.
Yes, there's so many. So I love why he didn't that since Maggie and I know you're a huge role, but I'm sure you were happy. Anything else to add to this first kind of confrontation between Boga and Kat Benfina? I don't know.
It's been like 50 years since they last saw each other. Big missed opportunity like I said before with like not even acknowledging Faxxian. Like she hasn't changed her outfit in like 20 years. They should recognize each other.
Yeah. I mean, I didn't even think about it in this episode. I was thinking about it before. Okay.
So Kat Ben has his way with Fennock and with Boba. This is going to come to head. This is going to be awesome. When it happened, I wasn't paying attention to it.
There's so much that they could have done in that scene and it just didn't play out. But I think all day like you were saying that people all day she was sightline. If she was there, this would have been a training in the episode. Yeah.
She just stays scared of everyone. Do it. Shut up and I'll go kill everyone. I'll save the bikers.
I'll kill them. I'll kill all the heads of the other families. I will be done in time for lunch and no, I cannot do this myself. I'm old, but I can do it.
I can take them. Can I just say like I didn't even think of her being sidelined at all when I was watching the episode. I was really surprised when I went on Twitter and I saw that because I was like she literally did the thing that like so many women feel this thing. Where it's just like I'm going to take matters into my own hands.
The men are going to have their little like kissing after her here. I'm just going to go do the thing that I wanted to do in the first episode when things were going down and she went and she just killed everybody. That's a good way to handle things. This whole season could have been for nothing if she had just been allowed to go do the murder.
And just the way that she was. I thought it was done so well because I know there were people who were thinking that like, thank was secretly bad which I did not die with those opinions. I'm like no, she's stuck with Bobo for life. We have the wedding vows.
That's right. And so I like that there were the suspensefuls. I'm sure that there were people who thought that she was going to be a turncoat. We're thinking she was gone.
The fight because she was off doing something bad. My girl is there to go assassinate everybody. I thought it was really surprising when I was wondering how many people were like, then X-chan got sidelined. I was like, oh, she did the big thing in the episode.
Yeah, she said she was going to get there before everything kind of finished. Okay, you get there in time. I can get there in time with a pit stop. I'll pit stop, save the biker squad and then go deal with that.
Yeah, she's like, God, save her kids. I want to say two things. One, I also like she's mostly right, but she's also been proven wrong in the show. Oh, yeah.
With the Gamorians, she's like, let's kill them. And he's like, no, no, no, no. So I like that angle instead. Like, oh, dumb dumb boys can't get it.
So, but when she's like, oh, we're covered on all angles and then 88 comes in two seconds later. Oh, someone's here to talk to you. What? When we covered?
Sorry. But I also love that she's like the entire show, like, can I kill him? Can I kill him? And this show, and this episode he's like, go kill.
And she's like, yes. I know. So I didn't think that she was going to be a turncoat. I think it was just a relationship.
It's so important. But there were always times, they weren't always seen eye to eye and agreeing to it with everything. Here at the beginning, when he's like, oh, we're going to be done with the spice. When they talk about co-baticom to help.
I said, like, really? Hey, that's some of Java's biggest kind of credit source or whatever. It's the spice. We got rid of it.
And he's like, yeah, yeah, in the end, it's going to be better. So I thought that there's more still a little bit of tension about how to run. This place has the head, go through whatever. And by the end, they're both like, do we really want to do this?
And we'll get to that point. But one thing that didn't miss the mark, one person that wasn't sightline was my guy, the myer-domo. He comes in, oh, that was an impressive display of restraint, exemplary strategy. If I may be so bold to a traditional council, they, oh, how much will they give for this guy?
Oh, there's so many poisons. I should have never have interjected. Again, we talked about this on our first episode. I love everything about this guy.
And I rewind this like five times when I was getting the spring caps. I watched this like six times. I have the whole speech here. I'm going to do it as we go.
Myer-domo's back. I know you love all the stupid things that he does. Are you still on board? He's so stupid.
Freaking love him so much. He's pathetic, but fun. He has, I haven't laughed this hard in a Star Wars thing in such a long time. And that entire thing from the I went to college to speak.
I know, I know. That entire gap of space is some of the funniest things I've ever seen in Star Wars. I adore him. Please more.
He's so good in V. And when he was introduced here, I was like, what's this going to be? But ever since the first episode, I was like, he's stupid and I love him. It's everything.
Apologies. Apologies. Now, the liver, everything has to be thought out. His big words.
That doesn't mean I'm smarter than you or whatever. Negotiation was great. We'll get to that Mo. Maggie, you've been on board with the Myer-domos since day one.
Oh, yeah. I don't even want on board now that he and Kelly are around the other. The two of them have acted together before. And so they call me this.
And so they have like a natural rapport with each other that I just thought came across. So I wondered if they were like, okay, we have to find a way to put these two together. So Kelly's going to get herself involved in the action. Yeah, she was right there.
She didn't care. And then come on, head tails or whatever. And what I love because this is a character that most people would hate. And I know the first time he came out, some people were like, really, these guys still around.
But I just in love for him all throughout the season. The more he gets into it, people just kind of getting into it also. So I love that a character like this has kind of taken over. But I think you mentioned the Ganster, all the Mafias of a huge fan.
And this is when things started to go south for our heroes, if you may. Everyone starts turning on them. The Drash calls, hey, things are a little bit weird. There's something happening.
Then the Aqualis turns on. Oh, man, I love the custom designs in this show. All the aliens look great. These guys look great.
So they turn on them. Then they see with a train going by the poor Gamogangards getting 300 and 300. And getting this AS, most ASBA, and getting kicked over the cliff. That was pretty harsh.
And then like we said before, for a present in Santo, you got jumped like by 20 transitions. So being a Ganster movie fan and a Mafia fan of that type of movies, are you, yes, finally they're going into this? Did you like that scene where all three of the other got dressed up and all of that? I mean, yeah, sure.
I liked it. I was stressed out. I was stressed out. At one point when the fight gets very, very, very hard for them.
I was starting to think like, isn't Luke gonna show up? Who's gonna save the day? Maggie, I know you're a big fan of that bookie. Well, you're a little bit scared when you get stabbed in the back.
My daughter watched it when I watched it the first time. She almost started crying when she saw the guy come with the ashes. I said, no. And then instantly she saw back a few weeks back.
Don't worry. In a big way. Well, you're a little bit scared for a present. I was like, oh my God, today we introduced this character and they're just gonna take him away from us this guy.
And I was like, no, I don't think it would do that. The Camoreans easily is like, I felt like, that's just too much of a figure in Star Wars to just kill. And also you have to think about like, the average person still thinks of him as just like, that's slightly evil. You're not gonna kill Jibaka.
So they wouldn't put that into them. Just like, you can't kill this. Like, this is never going to be at a temple. You don't need to kill him, but you can say, no, don't kill.
