And welcome to another episode of Radio Rebellion, Star Wars, Fotest of the Star Wars Saturday. And I had a different intro ready for today. And of course I hit the wrong button. What's everyone playing this intro?
No, it's fine. I'll do it next time. All right. Now we just added this at the end, which I have done past few times, just a little thing with the music in the background.
But I integrated that to the regular intro. So I don't have to click two videos at the same time. But of course, I didn't hit the one that says new intro. I had the regular intro.
It's Saturday. We've already had a technical difficulty before we started. What's one more? All your issues.
Mouse not working. They're working. I just anyway, we're here. We're here.
We're here. Our friend, our friend, our new new new new new new new new new new. Always nice to be back. Nice to be back.
I feel not here now. That's OK. Yeah, it's fine. I know this group of our four or five people.
I need to guess. I know how to contact. We're going to have fun. If it's high republic, it has to be you.
You're one of our high republic, kind of go to people. And I usually then kind of call my wife. Always we get it. Once we get too much.
You make such a choice with this book. I know it's you think I would know by now. But anyway, it's always Saturday. No book about this week.
But overall, how you been doing any? Oh, I'm sure I say, I was from Space Waffle. And also your writer on a web series out there or TV episodes. Kids pre-school series called Gully and Lola.
Great. So I was going to put a link on the description. I didn't. I'll find it and I'll put it there before the end of the day.
And then you guys can go check it. That's very, very cool. So congratulations on that. All right.
So last time you were here before we started actually. Let me just do my thing. So if you're watching this live, thank you for being here. As always, make sure you are subscribed to the channel.
We're around 132 subscribers. Once you get to 150, we'll do another live watch of a movie or TV episodes. Now there are a few out there. TV arc if it's Chrome Wars or Rebels.
We'll figure something out. We did a watch on for Reventor the seat when we got to 100 subscribers. A lot of fans will do that again. And like this video, comment if you're watching this later on the replay.
And if you listen to this on the other podcast when it comes out on the phone. You also, and there was a rating also wherever you're listening to this. But with that, I'll tell you that way or soon. Last time you were here.
Two weeks ago, I guess, we talked about the ultimate episode of Book of Boba Fett series is over now. Your overall thoughts on the finale and the series as a whole. Oh, from Boba Fennalli? I liked the finale.
I thought it was everything that had been set up this season paid off. I hope we get another season. Interestingly, this is one of those few series where I can't see where the next season is going. I could reasonably speculate about where season two is going.
But I have no idea what they would do with season two, book of Boba Fett. There's plenty of potential. But I would like to see them sort of explore new avenues, maybe with the characters on and talk to him like the Fett got here now. So see what's going on with them.
And yeah, as a whole enjoyed the series. I think the Mando episodes were kind of a curious choice to happen right in the middle. But now taking the whole thing for what it is, despite that, I did really enjoy it. And I like the Mando episodes.
I thought they were good solid Star Wars. But yeah, it was just the placement of it. Yeah, I think we're in similar places. I love that to Mando episodes.
I think if I have to pick what was your favorite episodes of the series? I might pick one of those two, probably episode six, because they worked so well as just as a Star Wars media or whatever. They're just great to look to watch. But as a whole, being part of Boba Fett series, maybe.
Episode six, I can define that it kind of makes sense. Episode five, not really. But it was great part of Star Wars media. It was great.
So in that sense, yeah, OK, it's fine. As a whole, same I enjoyed the series. Same as you have three different avenues that the season two could go, because that ending was really is Boba Fett and Fenen stay in there, because they kind of said, oh, we're not built for this or this isn't our life. But then we have a percent and Vespa with the mods there.
We have the main mod rebuilding our boy from Copp van. So who knows? It could go two different ways. So excited to see if there's a season two where it can go.
So I hope so. Yeah. All right. So before we start, I'm about some Star Wars news and how they fall in store.
That's why we're here talking about the high republic. Let's say hi to a few people. Our friend Dale, how are you doing Dale? Yeah, no book or book or book for a while.
But we have Kenobi in what? About two months? We don't know when? Yeah, it's May 24 days.
I'm like, OK, three months then. Yeah, still really, really close. Well, February is basically over March and April and it's coming out in May. So we'll say two months.
We won't come. May is Star Wars month anyway. We're not even going to feel it. Yeah, we're getting at some point, we're getting a trailer.
We have made the fourth over there. And I think celebration is around the same time that they can receive. If there is a celebration, I guess that's a bit of official ticket. It would be right after.
It would be right after Kenobi. So that's a lot of Star Wars coming. So all right. So with that said, if you guys are ready, I'm not ready.
And let's talk Star Wars and some Star Wars news. Star Wars news. The only, there's a couple of things out there. But this broke.
About two or three days ago was that John Williams is coming back to write the theme. We believe that theme for Obi-Wan can already be very similar to what he did for Han Solo in the Solo movie. John Powell did this call, but John Williams came in and wrote a musical theme specific for Han Solo. Seems like he's doing the same for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Obviously, are you surprised about this? We're stoked. Are you surprised where you heard it? Yeah, because I thought he retired.
I'm not mad about it. I'm quite happy about it. I know a lot of people are saying that Obi-Wan's theme is now what we recognize as the Force theme. So he doesn't really have his own distinctive theme anymore.
But knowing John Williams, I'm no musician by any means, but what he does with theming, I imagine he will pull from that iconic Force theme to make Obi-Wan's new ones so that retroactively we're not hearing two themes for the same character. Like he's going to blend it. I don't know. I'm excited.
Yeah, it's funny because I read that. Oh, the Force theme used to be an always theme or whatever. And I always kind of envision the Force theme as looks. Theme just because I look at it by no reason.
I always kind of put those two together. So I never thought of it as the Obi-Wan can always think. But it makes sense not just to bring him back for this iconic character, but to pull some of those kind of more known Star Wars musical themes out there. I love them on the Lawrence core.
Boba Fett is taking me a little bit to get there. But when they came out, they didn't really feel like Star Wars scores. The Mandalorian theme now, of course, everyone. That's classic.
But it took a while to kind of get into that kind of my frame. So I think bringing John Williams just for this one at least, we'll feel like it's the same kind of era and the same character. So we don't know, Karamefang wrong, who's going to be doing this score for the whole series, right? No, we don't.
And or just got there because those are announced and his name is that in my head. But no, we don't know who's doing the Kenobi score. But I like that John Williams is kind of there because it feels like the most connected to the original and the prequels of all the series coming out. So yeah, kind of connection.
I don't know. We're going to know this as soon as that theme hits. And there's a lot of rumors out there for Kenobi this week. We're not going to touch on those.
Yes, the Android composer got announced. I was holding up hope for Michael Giacino to come back and kind of finish it wrong with Rogue One. I guess it's the composer for Su-Session, TV show, and HBO Max, which I haven't watched. I've heard from people saying that not just at the show is good, but the music is good as well.
So maybe it'll be like the same sort of thing, like Michael Giacino's themes will get pulled into. I mean, it has to be. Yeah, it needs to feel similar. Yeah, I'm sure it will.
All right. And of course, who's else is here? Nor how are you doing? Nor hello there.
Nor over. So before we start, now that noise here, next week, we have, yeah, no, she's here just going to derail everything. As we start talking about Mark and Rogue. So next week, we have our second Star Wars trivia challenge.
Obviously, we're here for our first trivia a couple of months ago. We had a lot of fun. So Nor how is going to be one of our competitors. And I have it here.
The questions are right here. I won't show them. They're here. I'm just going to say, nor you're the only one here from the trivia at the moment.
So I'll give you a quick hint. The first question is about Rogue One, which we were just talking about. Might have to do something with Cassian and Dor, something that happens at the beginning. So it's a little hint out there for you guys if you start filming.
So come back next week, we're going to have a lot of fun. All right. So I think that's enough Star Wars news. The other one that we can mention a little bit before we start it broke this morning that I just forgot to say John.
John Watts, thank you. I said John Powell. That's not it. John Watts who just directed the No Way Home Spider-Man movie is supposedly tapped to direct at least one episode of Unannounced Star Wars show.
A lot of people are saying this is the High Republic One kind of Stranger Things in Star Wars. Excited for that show. John Watts is a great director of this coming of age. Movies are he does.
So seems like a good fit. Are you OK with this? Yeah. We'll see.
Yeah, he did a good job with the Spider-Man movies. And I think I know it's not all down to the director of something that's the writing too. But I think he kind of blends the new and the nostalgia really well, especially with No Way Home. So yeah, I'd be excited to see it.
If that's the show he's directing. 100% agree. And that's what I tweeted. That was great choice.
I want to know who the writer is. Hopefully some of the writers on the High Republic, those numerous writers. I have a theory. I think it's Claudia.
Yes. Yes. Because she keeps talking in all of the High Republic show. She keeps saying that she's working on something she can't talk about.
She can't talk about it. She can't talk about it. If it was both, of course you could talk about it because we know. But if she can't talk about it, maybe it was it.
Yes. And she was quiet in terms of she did the first wave with Into the Dark. She didn't have a book coming out in the second wave. And then she did Fallen Star, which would go deep into it, which was the longest adult novel compared to the others.
So maybe she didn't have enough time. And then it's focused on this, the High Republic authors. Right now, in Galaxy Stage, down there, if I squint. You're so close.
So close to ours away. I see all the pictures of them. No one's stopping them. Not if I was there.
That's the whole thing. Can you imagine if anybody from the High Republic fans were there? I don't think any of us would do anything. We wouldn't say anything.
No. That's one of the great things about those authors. Most of them, they're very active on Twitter. And they're seeing very open to share what they're doing, what they're working when it comes out and have that relationship with the audience.
I think that if you go, hey, I love your stuff. That's enough. I mean, don't go on. Yeah.
Don't go on thinking into their meetings. Like, cool. That's probably a few. All right.
So our friend, Oti, how are you doing? All right, thanks for being here. Oti again. Thank you for helping us with our book about episode this last few weeks.
Oti, as you're going to be here next week, helping me hold down before for these trivia. So it's going to be interesting. All right. So I think we went through it enough.
Do we have enough? No, I didn't do a little graphic for this. It doesn't matter. So also, talk about the falling star.
Phase one of the Harry Potter comes to a close. There's still some comments going about the adult novel. Close out the big chapter in what was not just phase one, but not just way for your phase one. But phase one in general, we have our Stell and Geos like savers.
Oh, yes, we do. Delivered by postal service and not by Adroid. Oh, no. I'm sorry.
Why are we starting there? All right. So I showed it the falling star. You can see everything's burning.
So it's obviously spoiler review. That ending, we're just going to mention it now. I was sitting in this chair right here, reading the last 30 pages, like at seven o'clock at night that day, I had to hold onto my wailing because I was here. It's coming.
I was like, I had to shut my eyes real time. My mouth was open because my family's across the door. And I couldn't go out. And they come in.
Why are you crying? Because I like Adroid. Delivered by likes. I don't know what this.
I don't be like, dude, you got to take a break. But that, we'll get to it. I was there. The whole book in one sitting, I was a mess.
Yeah. Why was it sobbing? It was not good. But we'll get there.
Yeah. So this book, I mean, it's one of the great things I would try to grade. She writes so easily the way I said before the command that she has all the Star Wars, universe, and themes. You can, like you said, just sit down and read this book in one sitting, which I didn't do because I didn't have enough time during the day.
But I just reread it this past week. And just between being at work, I read like 80 pages. It's one, you can just sit down and forget a few hours. You can just blast through it.
Yeah. You got to then hold on for your emotions, have your teachers ready. So let's start real quick before we go into details. Your thoughts on the book, and I was surprised when this came out.
I got it. I think it arrived here on a Friday. It came out two days ago, a little bit later. But the word on Twitter for a lot of people that had read it, it was, yeah, I liked it.
But it wasn't what I expected, especially for a closer. What were your feelings on the book, just the first time that you read it and then about that chatter out there online? Well, it cannot be an as universally loved. I thought it was going to be.
I was. And I kind of still am in that boat is that I had some of this I admit is on me. I had very high expectations for it because of the Claudia Gray book, because Claudia Gray's work is among my favorite in Star Wars. And one thing she does very well is these really deep dive character stuff.
Look at Lost Stars. It's a Romeo and Juliet story. And it's so long. And it goes into such detail between these two characters.
And I think I've been expecting something like that. And then you set off the top. This is not the longest of the adult books. It's the shortest one.
And I was surprised that it didn't go as deep as stuff as Claudia usually does. So that was kind of my thing too. It's not a bad book. But it didn't hit beats and points and levels of emotion that I had been expecting, considering who the author is, especially.
All right. First, I forgot to say, I'm finally talking about the High Republic with the High Republic shirt. I know every time you and my girl here, you make fun of me. You always want your High Republic gear.
I don't have any. So I finally got one. I'm wearing it today. I think it's only second time.
I've had this shirt for about two months now. I got to make sure it's clean and maintain its color. It's a great color. Yes, it is.
So my thoughts, I'm Claudia Gray for me right now on top. Everything Star Wars. If it's Claudia Gray, I'm going to tell you a great stand out there. I'll say it.
And I read through this book. And it's not my favorite one. It's still in two of the darkest my very star was book in all. But when I finished the falling star, for me, it was kind of the perfect High Republic book.
And I think the best High Republic book, even in some of my favorites, because it just closed out a lot of things for me. The way the nail and motion roll just kind of said, OK, I'm going to deal with this. And did the stroke pad blow that he wanted, the Jedi's issues just between themselves and where they fall in the Jedi order and with the force, all the relationships in the book. I really enjoyed the younger characters, the parlourines, with Beel and Buriagara, really shown for me, which they hadn't in the previous books, which I know a lot of people love those characters.
So I love this book completely. So when I started hearing that a lot of people had issues with it, then I kind of threw me back. And I also read that some people had issues with it, but like expectations, like you said, because a few days before it was the High Republic anniversary show. And that's when we learned, oh, we're going back 200 years or 300 years.
And now we get away two or three years to come back to the characters that we've loved for a year. So it's kind of OK, we were expecting something, we were expecting something maybe a little bit bigger. I do understand, rereading it this past week, some of those relationships with the characters that even though I loved them, they could have been a little bit fresh out, maybe a little bit longer. Because sometimes they, oh, they're just throwing their hearts out from maybe three quarters of a page.
And then, OK, but we got to go deal with this this aspect. Yes, I wish the whole book was that. But at that moment, I didn't care because it just touched me and I just love everything. We'll go through it.
But yeah. All right. So we're usually living for the end. I don't spend a lot of time.
But we're going to start today with Markey on Roll and Denial, your friend. My friend. Everyone's friend out there. Yeah, we'll come back to another question.
So in this book, Markey on Denial said, I'm done with the now under petty differences and who wants to lead. This goes in more trouble than there were. I'm just going to send you guys out. If you're a troublemaker, you're going to go to another storm or another whatever, another tempest.
You have issues with those people and you will just kill yourself or something. And some other over here, just do some surgical strikes or people need to come to the station. And I got my plan. I have three people I really trust.
Everyone else, get the hell out. He cannot do everything himself. It's like Thanos in Avengers. OK, I'll do this myself.
So a price that this was an all-out war, which is what I thought they were going to overwhelm, start like beacon, Denial, and then like 50 or 60 pages into it. We're going to go, oh, no, this is just from inside. They're just going to disrupt the station. Then Markey on from his gay selector, just kind of overseeing everything.
Can I surprise with the way that it went and just how much? I see my eyes. Markey on Roll, Rose in terms of Star Wars villains have been so thematic, a lot of it is not just action and brute strength. It's just using his mind that way he just deteriorated the Jedi and the Republic.
Yeah. I agree. He was a lot more strategic in this one than I think he's been in the past. And up until this one, I had made the joke that he's keeping the whole thing together with wishes and duct tape.
He doesn't know what he's doing. He's just kind of figuring it out as he goes, because he must stick it to his father's legacy or whatever. But in this one, you realize that the brutality was the point. And he was doing it on purpose.
But maybe along the way, realizing that this is not working. And switches tactics with alarming speed. And maybe this was his plan. The whole time was to sort of get rid of every sentient being, except for his assistant, and just build a ship with droids, and just kind of get rid of his horses and do juicing himself, like you said.
And he is terrifying in his precision, like in a way that I don't think he was in the other two. So it is like you, I was expecting sort of a Nile War in this one. I was actually expecting Worna D to come in and kill him and take over. Like that's what I thought was going to happen.
Obviously it didn't. But yeah, I don't think I was expecting Marcin to get this terrifying in the third book. And to set up like a horrifying villain arc for like the next. Horrifying in its implications, I still think it's very sexy of him, but in like in phase three.
So yeah, I was pleasantly surprised, even though he wasn't in the book a whole lot. He wasn't doing much, but I was surprised all the same. I mean, someone that would say he was doing a lot and also find him sexy was Senator Gira Starros. And we talk about Marcin Hose out there.
She's like, he's our president. He's the fan club president. I don't know what to tell you. I mean, one of those things from the High Republic that we in the fandom kind of joke around and then, oh, no, yeah, it's happening.
So he's in every comic, he's shirtless. He has his 20 helmets every time he removes it. He's in the cover with the wind and all that stuff. And then of course, in the universe, people still see, yeah, he's horrible.
Oh, man, but we can do it. Dan thinks he's hot before she leaves. Gira Starros threw over the whole Republic for him. So I know she thinks she's in control.
She's just having fun and playing both sides, but we're like, girl. So yeah, I wish I could demonstrate the noise I made when I got to this point in the book and realize that that's actually where they were going with it and like that she and Marcin do have this intimate relationship. And I was like, are you kidding me? I did not see this.
I thought if we were getting any kind of romance into me, whatever, it was gonna be like Avar and Elzar and it was gonna be like, you know, more conventionally, romance, novely, but no, it was something else. So thank you Claudia. Yeah, it's one of those things when I went, I'm really in this. Oh, and Starros, when Taya Ferro is assistant, the great Taya, I love her character also.
When she said, oh, there's a sheepish comment or whatever and then it's revealed as a senator. And I remember all my notes, I could, are they having a relationship? Question mark, question mark, two pages later. Oh, okay.
And it is the Aztec one at that. Yes, and then, yeah. Yes, so, Senator, I understand why. How he brought you to his side.
And yeah, you're not playing both sides. I love also, he's like, I could just get rid of her right now. She just carried hiding behind, behind whatever. I'll just keep her around just in case.
And I will say there are two things that I missed. One of them will get later probably, which is to get Elsor, Avar and Stella together in one scene, very similar, of course, to not getting Han, Leia, and Luke. It's like, oh man, we didn't get that. But yes, I expected Lorna need to be featured heavily here, especially after Out of the Shadows and Tempest Runner.
I'm like, okay, she's taking over because Marjian doesn't care too much about this now thing. He just wanted to deal with the Jedi. So extremely surprised that she wasn't here, but I guess her story right now is happening in the comic books. And then of course, when Ava gets there, she's like, no, no, we succeeded in what we were trying to do, which I don't know if that she captured Lorna diva.
Then of course, everything explodes and helps those. So yeah, like we said, like you said, so Marjian is done with people. He doesn't want all this back staring. Now he has all those enforcer droids with car nine.
I wanna see those droids. They're just scary, scary sounding. And then finally- I'll find the death troopers because I didn't know what else I think. Yeah, I was thinking the same.
Yeah, it's gonna be something different. I wanna know why they were banned. I think they said that those types of droids are banned in the Republic or whatever. And then by the end, finally, he said, okay, I'm done hiding.
He brought very much in real life, brought to the same frequency that Stolabikin was using to announce himself as the eye of the gnarlin. This galaxy is mine, not ours, mine. And then he invites everyone, except Lorna Dee to the party. So I still think there's gonna be something there between the two of them.
But are you happy that he finally came out and said, nah, you're chasing goats and the one. Come after me. Yeah, I am. I like to taste sort of operating from the shadows, puppet master vibe, but that can only go on for so long.
So I think him kind of stepping out and becoming, sort of the villain I think everybody thought he was gonna be. It's gonna take in an interesting direction going forward. And like the eye of the storm comic, apparently according to Michael Siglane on the, on the high republic show was saying that that is what you should end. Okay.
If you're reading, I guess on a Martian note, it's probably gonna pick up around there. So yeah, I'm interested to see where his plan is going. I'm like, what he's gonna do now that he's out in the open and he's like, I'm the eye of the storm. Come at me.
Yeah. I'm gonna make the wait for face three months harder. Yeah, I know. So I'm glad to hear that we all had the same reaction to that relationship.
Yeah, I mean. Great. So highlights that had, cool those two senators, Tara's for being able to get there. He's living everyone's dream.
Yeah, I know. Not everyone, but like a new one. I know how to say it. Yeah, Martian.
So yeah, just kind of finishing with Martian. Like we said before, I just love how tactical he is. It's not just this, because the first book I've said it before, it's like, yeah, okay, whatever, my role is spy rats. There's nothing special about them.
By the end of that, I don't see a little bit of course with writing storm. He's getting the leveler or the nameless, as they call him in other books. But now you see his plan coming together. It's I said before he, yeah, he cares about the Nile and all that stuff.
But he has having data against the data in the Republic. Hopefully we'll learn more with the second issue of his comic, which is coming out in about two or three weeks, I think. Yeah, but he just kind of took over and just took those steps to become one of our favorite Star Wars villains out there. Not just because he's a sexy blue man.
We're still with Star Wars and blue aliens. But because a lot of people also with, with Toronto the same way, Mark, I don't know, we gotta be blue in Star Wars and we'll have some fan base. Yeah, I mean, if it works. And I'm the geeky waffle is here.
I'm just in Canada. Yeah. All right. So the now they're ready to take over the leveler.
Very scary. We learned a lot about the leveler. And I also because I told Nagy when she was here last week, I did retrial of shadows. Yes, finally.
So I read a comic book and I second my second because I did. I'm also a temple peak and I did this five issue one. And it works great even though I had just finished falling star. It cannot tie up a lot, especially the ending, but it starts before with quick, not spoilers, but still and daily in Emory or we got this happen to Derek, to Sarah and with law then, so I creature out there, you gotta go investigate.
And then it ends up with him coming back to start like beacon as his burning and then whatever happens, I think we won't spoil it for people out there. But yeah, great job by Jose Danielo, Danielo, there on there out there with that book. Did you really enjoy trail of shadows? Oh, I love trail of shadows.
I think it's my favorite comic run for the high republic because it was so, it was so contained. It was dark. It answered a lot of questions. Because, you know, we're used to getting more questions for next time next time.
And I think trail of shadows like it's wrapped it all up very nicely. So like wrapped up their own story. And so I did answer questions about that. The name list.
And it kind of gave that hope for the future. So yeah. Let's start with the name list. Or the leveler.
He's called in some of the other books. He's mentioned as the leveler in this book once. And then of course, in tell of shadows. And I think in the high republic show, they showed a picture of the leveler also attacking.
Yeah. In the twenties, I think. Yeah, it would be in the Marvel comic run. But it's not out yet.
That's a very nice question. So I'm scared. I'm scared for the show. Yeah, I loved in this book how every Jedi star is kind of feeling the effects.
Of course, I don't know. Oh, we're just tired. We have all these refugees coming. Stylan, you just been up for 36 hours.
You need to take a break. And oh, yeah, he doesn't take a break. We'll get to him. But then I love how every time that someone unfortunately dies or regal, coal, or first Jedi, a new Jedi doesn't introduce just to work in the daycare with a little baby Jedi.
He wanted to go back, because I can deal with kids trying to use their voice. And then of course, not in their stokes. So no. No.
No, no. Nibah, seek. Where they die, we don't know. They just find their bodies, their husk.
But with Orla and then Stylan, when he almost gets it. And also, we start seeing little by little, a little bit more how it really affects the Jedi. And that's how we started getting, oh, this is scary. Yeah, it was genuinely terrifying to read it happening.
I know that one thing that stuck out was like Stylan. It was like the first thing to go with color. So he doesn't even see color anymore. All he sees is a black and white.
I'm like, that is so scary. Yeah, because first he's like, oh, it's the hunger. He's like, oh, it's the hunger. No, it's not that I drank here.
They're not here. They're not quiet. If the drink here, we're here, we would know. So it's something else.
Then with Orla, she starts feeling cold. And then she starts getting, it's hard to, difficult to move. Everything is heavy. And then the fear.
And then she starts getting up in a ball. And with Elsa, Stylan loses color. Against Scared. At least there's a switch he can drop.
And then with Elsa, he's going down in that maintenance spot. Kind of he can't face to face. And he's like, push back against the pot. It's just scary reading it.
But reading very mild sport for trailer shadows, we see at least kind of a claw off the base. Because everyone's seen something different. How fear kind of, whatever scares the Jedi is kind of representing. That way can remind me of Harry Potter.
Yeah, the Dementors. The Dementors can take that shape. So very scary announcing more with them. I broke my heart.
Orla my favorite character, Claudia. And then next week, not next week, about two or three weeks, I'll talk about Midnight Horizon, No spoilers. It's a lot of Comac, my only favorite character. He's alive.
I'll just leave it there. He's alive. Oh god. He's one of my friend Hope, Comac, one of her favorite characters.
And when I got Midnight Horizon, she's like, I just need to know he makes it out alive. Like I got, especially after Orla. I'm like, I got. Yeah, I mean, I'm like, he's fine.
He's alive. Not fine, but he's alive. He's alive. I'm going to talk next.
When I talk about it, our friend Hannah, I'm going to be here. I'm going to break down that book. So I just said that the falling star, I think, is the best Harry public book in the way, Capture everything. But Midnight Horizon, it's kind of the perfect Star Wars book.
And everything that you want in Star Wars is in that book. Lights, April fights, cool villains, space battles, Jedi, doubting themselves in the order, Pala wants coming of age, not knowing how to react with everything that's gone around there for the past year, kind of mixing in a wall. So that book, again, Daniel has been killing it out there. Oh yeah.
It's so, so good. I'll be in a few weeks. So all these assets. So Elifand in the room is the leveler alive.
So he had, what, like three levelers in the book. I think more. I think there were more. And they somehow didn't.
Well, let's trailer shadow. But there were more that didn't make it to Starlight Beacon. So that's where two or three did make it. Yeah.
So because I think that first ship, which again, terrible design, Starlight Beacon, Jedi, you guys, you're hubris or whoever designed it. Yeah, there's a ship with a lot of animals. Yeah, whatever. We're not going to check to make sure that their manifest matches.
They say animals. They have the certificate of whatever the formation slips. You have one Jedi who's like good with animals. It could just make sure that if you say you have a Rathdars that you're carrying.
Yes. I don't want to go with it. I don't want to go with it. And we're not that I know what you have.
But enough bail. Yeah, that first ship didn't have anything. This one says Rathdars. Let me just open the gate.
Oh, yeah. There's three more. Sorry. Now everyone's dead.
But yeah, that's going to surprise me. We got so many droids. And not one is going to make sure they manifest matches with Cindy Cargo. You're just going to, whoa, my job is just to check it.
Because no one comes here. Kind of weird. That's the solution. They could have been through it.
It's, I mean, they were droids anyway. We're not going to do their job for them. Yeah. I mean, I was going to say if they wanted to, I would.
But no, I would be swimming in the oceans of A. Are you? I don't know. But no.
All right. So name, so I'll take a good question. I think the ones in the station died. But as we start learning, there are more.
Because I thought after rising storm, it was just one creature. They want one that he found in whatever cave. Well, no, this is a species that's out there. And then this little chadra friend, the doctor, I forgot his name.
Autosan. All right, so I'm kind of knows where to get him. And he's selling them in the black market, which is not good for everyone out there. Because maybe it's not just marketing on the hassom.
So one else might maybe don't have the hassom. I just don't care about this. But no, there are more developers out there. I think they're going to show up in phase two.
I think we're going to get more with them. And then of course with phase three. Well, all right. He's in the cover of the book.
We have his lightsaber. He's your guy. We've been talking for a long time. We've been missing Stalin to be upfront in the books.
He was very present in rising storm. Very present in this book. He's an L. Sorry.
I kind of the main characters in Fallen Star. Take Me Through. They do enjoy his arc in the Fallen Star where we made him to unfortunately we have to say goodbye to the Polestar. No.
First of all, the fact that he sees the Force as a field of stars is absolutely beautiful. Yes. I love the imagery so so much. It's so perfect for Stalin.
But I loved most of his arc. Obviously did not like that. He died at the end. But I loved all the moments he had with Elzar and even the moments of Orla where his sort of strict adherence to the Jedi where it kind of comes in contrast with her.
Her it's not way findings. Way seeking with her as a way seeker. And sort of just what makes Stalin Jios who he is, I think was such a big question. Because everybody else like Elzar or Elzar, we kind of know why they are like that.
Stalin is just sort of what the Jedi's idea of perfect Jedi is. And I love that we started to explore that. But it's like you said, when you get to those character moments and those conversations, it ends with like a quarter of the conversation left and you just wish it would have gone in just a little longer. And the book is so short, like it could have.
So I mourn for those conversations we'd better never going to finish. And I know that like that's the way of life. Not every conversation finishes. But it's fiction.
I wanted the conversation. And like, we're never ever going to get that scene with the three of them together. Elzar, Avar, and Stalin, unless we get a young pad of one, something at some point. But yeah, like there are moments in his arc I mourn the loss of and mourn the fact that I'll never have them.
But by and large, like he shone in this book. Like when I thought he was going to die from the leveler, like sort of stopping everything that wasn't fear out of him, I had started shaking. And then somebody interrupted and then he was like having those moments with Elzar of like the slow conversation. Yeah, we'll talk about that later.
I'm like, there's no later one of you is going to die. So I'm dying. So yeah. Yeah.
And I love, I like those conversations with Ola were my favorite thing in the whole book. I said it 20 times. Ola Jiren is my favorite character. John's back and forth with Bernestra.
But Ola's my favorite. I love everything. I love when we learned that she's the one kind of mentoring Elzar in this pristine beach trying to get him to focus, kind of forget how to get him away from the darkness and all that. So I love that she was here completely surprised that Ola made into this one how impactful her arc was.
Sure as it was, like for Ola. But I love everything between. No. And then she said, oh, if I'm not back in one hour, come find like, there's one time when she said, oh, the two people have gone, the two day I have gone to find this, whatever's going to happen.
And they're like, I should just close out the blast doors and get out of here. I'm like, ooh, there's a chance. Oh, what's happening? I'm scared.
I'm like, crap, no, it's here. I think she sees a shadow something moving is too big to be a person or human. I'm like, no, it's there. I'll get a little bit with it.
But her relationship with Stela was so great just because of what you said because this book starts with Stela and basically saying he has a meeting with Chancellor So but it's through hologram. It's like, oh man, I'm glad that she's there because she was here in person. I got to come up with another iconic image of me kind of saving her. So in his mind, he's already, oh, I have to live up to this expectation.
And there's so much stuck in the beginning. I had written down so about this is not him. This was a man called the DJ like old and the Republic placed on him. You're a Jedi master.
So early you're a hero. You're the face of the Republic, the face of the Jedi. This is you now your face out there. He didn't want this.
And I said this from rising storm, but he just carried this with him. And when all that comes in, I'm smashing in the face, who are you without the order? And he's like, I don't know. It's like, yes, that's why she's the best.
And he's like, oh, well, we as Jedi, we define ourselves by the Jedi. Oh, then he's like, no, that's you. I define myself by the force. And he hates that.
