S4 Ep8: Kali Ma

Kali Ma, known as the Dark Mother and the Divine Mother, is a Hindu goddess. She is a fierce goddess of destruction and death as she is seen fighting demons and tearing down the fabric of creation. She is depicted as having skin like the milky way and hair like galaxies as she appears blue and black, wearing a garland of skulls around her neck, holding a sword of knowledge, a severed head dripping blood and a skull cap to catch the blood. She is a protector and helps to keep everybody safe, putting everything back in balance, getting structure and then providing and cleaning to pave the way for the creation of a new, safe, and beautiful world. She also rules time and cemeteries and is often seen dancing in graveyards. There are initiation ceremonies where part of the ritual is to go into a cemetery at night and you have to stay there and wait for Kali Ma to show up and you have to face her. You face the dark night of the soul and the darkest parts of yourself as you make peace with your mortality.
