In this final episode of the series, I’m joined by Andrew, Policy and Public Affairs Officer for the Devolved Nations at Young Lives vs Cancer.Together, we explore the financial pressures faced by families of children and young people with cancer in Northern Ireland- focusing in particular on the urgent need for a dedicated travel fund. The UK Government has announced plans for a young person's cancer travel fund in England by 2027, there is currently no equivalent support available in Northern Ireland. For over a decade, Young Lives vs Cancer has been campaigning for this vital provision, highlighting the significant travel costs that add to the already heavy emotional and financial burden families face.
