How To Self-Destruct

Today we discuss the dangers of selfies, sharks, and a difficult topic: the topic of self-worship and how destructive it can be. The truth is the more we love ourselves the weaker we become. (1) Bad Religion: We want our religion to be self-serving and to actualize our self-imaginations. (2) Sin Kills: We have to be intentional about the theme of our lives or our lives will decide for themselves. (3) Isolation Hurts: You can’t be strong when you self-isolate. (4) Self Image: Being saved doesn’t make me a good person, it makes me a redeemed person who is being transformed into the image of Christ. We also discuss what the picture of King Saul begging the Amalekite to kill him means, the greek words chalepos and ekklesia, how King Saul saves Jabesh Gilead, and his failure to kill the Amalekite nation. The good news is we are made in God's image and Jesus came to redeem us and to bring us back to Him. We have the power of the Holy Spirit and victory in Jesus to guide us through!
