Discovery, in this context, involves bringing it into the spotlight, getting intimately acquainted, and learning alongside the river. Ultimately, discovery means unveiling its essence, allowing it to embrace rainfall, shape its bed, and define its source and mouth.Today, numerous international rivers enjoy recognition as living entities, a status that not only ensures their physical protection (via nature’s rights) but also signifies a novel coha- bitation between rivers and the surrounding communities.
