S5 E4 - Bob Egan

from Kitchener Famous with Jesse and Jay · host Kitchener Famous

Holy smokes. We finally did it! We got one of our most desired guests since we've started doing this.. and boy did he deliver. Bob Egan is seriously one of Jay & Jesse's north stars as a musician. More importantly, he's just an all around great person. His tale is truly a rags to riches story. He tells us tales about getting advise from Johnny Cash (you read that right: Johnny Cash) amongst others. He fills us in on his tenure with Wilco, Blue Rodeo, and the Tragically Hip. He lets us in on what motivated him to start the instrument rental program at the Kitchener Library, and what prompted him to have the state of the art FREE recording studio in there as well.. and he even brought his son Leo onto the show.Bob now spends his time doing public speaking, and you'll know why by the end of this episode. Honestly, this one is just so inspiring and we're stoked for you to hear it. We won't make you read anymore.. we're gunna just let you get on with it. Thanks to this year's sponsors:- The Belmont Village Bestival- The Foundry Tavern/Underwing- Room 47/White Rabbit/Hop House- The Duke of Wellington- Encore Records - The Elmira Vintage Guitar ShowTill next time: Keep it Kitchener!
