S5, Ep 9: Why Does Reading the Bible Matter?

from Experience Revival Podcast

For a lot of us, reading the Bible can often feel like one more thing in a long list of things that we are "supposed to do as good Christians". But spending time in God's Word can be so much more than an item on a checklist. Because on every page, God's unchanging and loving character is revealed. Through God's Word, we can begin to see and experience His radical love for us as we learn His heart and see it in action.  In this episode, we'll discuss how studying the Bible can give us a deeper understanding of what God is like, and help us to connect with Him personally, by looking at the life of Jesus.  We'll give you some good places to start reading the Bible, as well as some practical Bible study resources, whether you're diving into God's Word for the first time, or trying to find your Bible study groove again. From beginning to end, the Bible is the story of God's loving pursuit of His people. It is our prayer that by the end of this episode, you'll be inspired to curl up with your Bible, and journey deeper into your relationship with the God who loves you. Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell.
