And welcome to another episode of Red River, let me stop awards, but the C-SAR fits season, we're back after a hundred episodes, so many shows I can all star wars, so many guests, I'm your host, I'm your director, I'm your engineer, I'm your one of our favorite guests here, Oti, welcome back, how are you doing on this new season five of Red River? I'm doing well, I started off with the wrong foot because I totally forgot we were gonna do this, but here I am, man, C-SAR. I got here before you. Oh, come on, why don't you throw me on the divorce, okay?
I'm not, I'm supposed to be a happy day, we're talking Star Wars celebration, it's Star Wars Saturday, and we're already starting, throwing people under the bus, but it's fine, it happens, yeah, last time for my season four premiere, for some reason it was a problem on my microphone, I think it was on feedback, and they said, yeah, finally we're back, and then when I'm listening back to it, just a bunch of feedback, just when I talk, when I had to make that, what were we talking about? Our favorite helmets, something I always wanted to talk about and then I just messed up. I remember this, I remember this. Oh yeah, a lot of fun, what were we having fun today?
Oti, it's been a while since you've been here, what have you been up to, Star Wars wise, how are things going? It's not been going good, good. No, you haven't finished Harry Potter yet? I actually started Midnight Horizon, but I haven't started again, because it's been a month and a half since I started reading.
Yeah, that's a heavy book, that's a hefty one, so. Yeah, something happened with it, because Star Wars book I fairly straightforward for anyone to read, and this was the first one, I was like, wait, what just happened, I have to go back, but yeah, I have to read that, I'm very, very, very, not updated on the comics, I haven't read Trail of Shadows, I actually got the collection, I haven't read the Mark and Row comics, neither of the two, so I'm very far behind, I'm a CPA, so Tax season has just consumed all my time, and it's almost over, and yeah. Yeah, some real life situations sometimes get in the way, but yeah, you're supposed to be here for a final show, a big Harry public, phase one, 10 or a week or two weeks before you, you're like, I can make it, I'm just too busy, so. The amount of times I've gone to about a two a.m.
during this Tax season, it's been horrible, so. Yeah, at times I'm like, I should read the book, but I should use the time to sleep, so. Oh, I get it, I get it, yeah. So I'm guessing you haven't gotten into Brotherhood yet, then you won by my time.
So I think it should arrive on time because it's the first time it shipped the date came out, so it should be there this week. Oh, so I'm cool, start with the thing though, I got that Ray like saying, it's really cool, it's really, really cool. With a flick to turn it on with the dial. Oh man.
So I think this is just like, you know, we could just be broken, it won't turn. Yeah, I'm very cautious about it because of that. Yeah, I'm the other way, I posted on Twitter, the other way in my account, Duke one, I turn it on my face to take a picture, and then halfway through it, it's a gap about six or seven inches, it doesn't light up. So it's red, then off, and then the tip is red, like, come on, really, hasn't been out here.
Can you remove the lights here? Yeah, I haven't removed the blade yet to try it. And a few people have told me if they go down to Galaxy's A's, they can give me another one, but I don't want to have to show, I don't know if it was 50 bucks or whatever it was. I don't think, anyway, let's move on.
I'm just like crying out all the money I spent on now, it works, I'll just crop people. Yeah, it is cool. All right, let's say hi for a sore friend Dale, or nice here, hello there, Dale, are you ready for Kenobi Dale? I'm betting you are, and next week talking about Kenobi, what are you excited?
I'm sure you watch that trailer. How are you feeling right now for Kenobi? I'm the most hyped I've been since this whole thing kicked off. The press thing, you know, Hayden Christensen for being like, a geannican has this very wholesome voice, and he's like, yeah, I take care of puppy using it.
So I'm very, very excited. That last trailer was just like, So you're saying that a little bit of promotion helps push the hike for the show, right? Yeah. You have to require some press to a month before you.
It kind of helps. It helps, but keeping it all a secret also helps, because that they are going to be like, I got to see this. I got to see this. Yeah, it's going to be cool.
Not a lot has been revealed yet, apart from some of the main cast. We still don't know who the cast was and now, who are they playing. So we'll see. Just two weeks, where can I wait?
All right, so before we start, this is on five. So we have to do something new, something important. And I said there was going to be an announcement during the first five minutes of the show. Let's go ahead and do it.
So, Oti, you've been here a long time, you've been one of our most recurring guests. We spoke a few weeks ago. We said, you know what, let's make this official. So as of today, Oti is officially our co-host here on Radio Rebellion.
So thank you Oti officially for joining the rebellion. Yeah, I know it's a pleasure. I love being here every single time. And you know, things get weird when I'm here, because I do crazy things sometimes.
So yeah, you're just going to have to tolerate me. We'll see. In my view of those things, just like, what have I done? But I've been thinking since season four, before I started season four, I've been thinking about having a co-host, because even though I love the freedom that I have, I don't show on my own.
I can talk about whatever I want to the topics that I want. It's a conversation that I cannot are my favorite episodes, because I have someone to talk with. And then you've been here, like we said, a few times, then we did our Book of Boba Fett reviews, where you were a guest co-host and those went great. You know what, let's just keep it going.
So again, thanks for being here. We'll still have special guests from time to time. We'll still be here hopefully, especially for some of our, for the Kenoey episodes. I gotta get Oti for one of those, because she loves you so much.
And then what ever happens to us? It's about great to have you on board. I know, I'm very excited. So happy to be here.
All right, so anyone else? Who else is there? Can you show? Oh, it's Mo.
Oh, there she is. Mo. Mo, thanks for joining us, Mo. And all right, I think if you guys are ready, I know I'm ready.
Let's talk Star Wars and it's Star Wars celebration. Let's start speculating responsibly as always, because we don't know what's gonna happen. I was kind of hoping that they weren't gonna reveal the schedule already, so we can speculate about all the things we're gonna do, we're talking about. So you're telling me you don't want that much information for me?
Oh my God, it's not the same. It's pretty short. No, my argument has been broken in first seven minutes. No, but I understand because people want to plan what they're gonna be doing for a day, so I don't understand why they've revealed it already.
It's two weeks. Before we jump into it, I think I know the answer about, are you going to celebration this year and have you ever been to celebration? I have not been to celebration. There was a moment I thought this would be the year, but it just didn't pan out and yeah, it sucks.
But every year I take the Friday off to see the stream, I actually love doing that. It might feel like sad to be all alone watching a computer screen, but there's like, I don't know, I find it to be fun. So yeah, probably during work, I'll be listening to the panels on Thursday, but on Friday I'm free and then throughout the weekend, I'll be watching. Yeah, same here.
I haven't gone to celebration yet. Not going this year. I thought when they, I think 2019 or 2021, wherever they said, oh, we got canceled, got pushed to 2022. I'm like, okay, I got a year to plan.
I'll try to be there. But then just logistically, it didn't make sense. California with the family and all that, I couldn't find a way to do it. So I said, okay, whatever, we won't go this year.
And I haven't been there. I said here on the show, I plan to tell you almost when in 2017, because I did it in Orlando for last July. Oh, I didn't go, I still beat my head over it because of it, but eventually I'm hoping that they come back to Orlando soon, but with all the issues happening here with that go and beat in Disney is like, maybe the monster away. But at the same time, they just opened the Galactic Star Cruiser.
What better way to promote it than calm down to celebration. We'll give you a tour or some special package for people to go to the Star Cruiser. So here's hoping that they come back at some point soon. They should do the biggest, wokest celebration in Orlando to own the GOP.
Yeah, they are all colorful, all the flags just do it. They should just bring everyone, the wokest one. Everyone is invited to the Star Cruiser. I hope, I hope at some point.
They all is gonna be at celebration. So have fun. Congratulations, Leo. And Lauren is also hanging out in the chat.
And Lauren's gonna be at celebration. She's gonna be joining us live from there. So even though we're not there, we have a special correspondent down in Anaheim helping us that day. So thanks Lauren again for the round of fun.
Three special shows that way. Oh, look, it's here. Who's here? Ooh, Arsu, we're just talking about you.
We need to get you here for one of the Kenobi episodes that we do, so we'll be in touch. We need to have your thoughts on Kenobi. Well, thanks for joining us, Arsu. All right, so let's go ahead.
Let's start speculating a little bit about celebration. It all starts Thursday. For some reason I thought that big announcement will gonna be on Friday. But then no, it's only Thursday with the biggest one, which is the Look at Zoom Studio showcase.
It's gonna be streaming. So at least that two of us in our separate work office, no one else knowing, you know, shut the door, but I don't know that side. That was Thursday. Thursday, I don't have the time here.
It's a long one. I think it's an hour and a half. So let me read the description. It says, Star Wars Celebration returns to launching with the mouse.
See, showcase, I will kick the weekend festivities into hyperdrive, wink, wink. Look at some current drop of live action filmmakers will be joined by special guests to discuss that many Star Wars adventures come in soon, including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Daimandallorian. I'm gonna ask you, because I was surprised that they didn't do like a live action movie thing, and then one for the TV. So you surprised or are you okay that you're doing everything to get in one panel?
I'm not gonna lie. When I read the panels, I was a bit disappointed. Because my whole thing with the celebration, I want to, you know, it's been a while since the Skywalker's on the end, the shows are in hyperdrive. The games are coming out, but I wanted to see like, Neil, Neil, Neil, what's next?
What's the next 10 years of Star Wars look like? And I was hoping we were gonna get like a games panel, a movie panel, a TV show panel. So when I saw like it was all gonna be crammed in here, I was like a bit bummed. I'm actually happy I've been busy and haven't been able to podcast because I've kind of come around it because it's a long panel.
Mandalorian is gonna have its own separate thing the next day, I think. On Saturday, actually, it's gonna be Mandalorian. Cause my biggest fear was that this thing would turn into, you know, one hour of Mandalorian content and then half an hour. Yeah, this is coming, this is coming, this is coming.
I mean, but still, because even with Mandalorian, it's on panel, it's here in the description and including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Daimandallorian. So they're gonna spend time talking about Mandalorian. We have been doing it as its own panel. Just like, yeah, see some things coming.
Okay, next. But, the thing is, as much as I want new things, when you think about it, there's a lot that's been announced that we know nothing about. Getting that information, you know, there'll be this feeling like, oh, they announced nothing, but again, there's a lot of things we know absolutely nothing about. So I'm excited, I'm very lucky, I'm very much looking forward to that panel.
Yeah, I feel the same way. I was, and I still think they should have gone this route. Let's say, first I just the movies, then Fridays, the live action TV shows, even anything that's Disney Plus, and then do maybe the books on Saturday and then something else on Sunday. They decide to go a different route, they know what they're doing, but yeah, like you said, it's an hour and a half panel, so they have a lot to go through.
Can Obi's already gonna be premiering the following day, so I don't know how much information they're gonna be giving that day, but just bring the cast, maybe show a little clip or something. Maybe the people at the end of the panel get to see the episodes a day earlier, so good for them, because they got pushback to that Friday instead of being released on Wednesday. But let's talk about some of the things that we hope get announced, because like you said, there's a bunch of things that have been either officially announced or heavily rumored. And so do you think we're getting some information?
Hey, Robert, are you doing a special journey also, right? Again, Robert, another question's gonna be here for special Star Wars celebration episodes in two weeks. Do you think we're gonna get some information about the Taikoua movie? I hope so, and there's, I don't know, we're probably gonna talk about it, but there's three movies where we know are in some level of production that, Michael Waldron, while doing press for Dr.
Strange, talked about his movie, and apparently it is happening, so, but I really hope we get information on the Taikoua movie. It has to, because Thor is coming out this year, correct? I think in November or whatever, which, or in May 4th of July, I think. Oh, yeah, July.
So that movie's done, okay, post-production, whatever, it has to be working on some of the Star Wars. I know Star Wars was waiting to reveal titles, but maybe he's out there, talks a little bit about what time period or something, but we need to start getting something about that movie. Let's talk about that Michael Waldron, Kevin Feige, Star Wars movie. This is one that's been, talked about for years, very few years, like, Friday has been kind of working on Star Wars in some capacity.
You've seen Motitoot of Madness, right? Or whatever, Dr. Strange, I saw the Star Strange, I got my issues with it, some of it has to do with the script or the wordy story went, are you at any way concerned with this writer, writing Star Wars, even though he did low key, which I love, and a lot of people love, are you a little bit concerned with this Star Wars news, this Star Wars movie he might be writing? I sit on your face.
I played the fifth. Stop playing the fifth here, come on. I am not concerned. Okay.
I just want to talk about Holders of Madness, but I'm not that concerned about it. All right, I'm a bit, I'll say I'm a bit concerned. You know, I'll say this, my biggest issue with Multiverse of Madness was the writing there. All right, not to getting to Multitoman as the Assistant on MCU podcast.
Maybe at some point we'll cover all the things, we'll talk about that some other point, but I love Loki, I love what he did with it. I love that first Dr. Strange is one of my favorites, just because he's a weird one, different from what MCU had done, extremely excited for Strange 2, because the trailer's kind of started one way, anyway, we're in a different direction. So I'm like, ugh, I don't know, coming out of Strange 2, I'm probably one or two days later, yeah, Michael Walden is now writing the Star Wars movies, like, oh man, at least give me a month or something to have kind of come down a little bit.
So I'm a bit concerned, but at the same time, people need second chances, and that movie's doing crazy numbers, and a lot of people love it. I have my issues, it's to me, it's more like a wad-if episode instead of an MCU movie, but maybe Star Wars is his thing, and he comes back, so I'll be concerned, but I'll wait to start seeing something about it before I kind of get more concerned and change my tune completely. I'll say this, go ahead. That's great.
My biggest issue with that movie is how it transitions from one division to the movie. I don't think it's completely out of character, I think the movie just jumps over a chapter that would have been useful. But seeing Loki being this very standalone thing with this expansive world he got to build and work on, it doesn't concern me in the sense that we've seen, like probably his biggest issue is going from something to another thing, but when he gets to play on his own field, he's shown with Loki that he creates a very interesting and solid universe with great characters, great motivations. So that's why I'm not concerned about that specific movie, but we'll see, we'll see.
Do you have a preference of what type of movie you want him to be working on? And same with Kevin Feid in terms of established characters or the slow to a future, the slow to the past, does it matter? I'm hoping for new characters, new time periods. I wanna move away from what we've seen already, we started seeing something new.
I agree. Knowing that Feigy is like a very diehard Star Wars fan from the 80s, kind of makes me think that it'll be in this 60 year time frame that we already know, but I'm hoping if it is, it's something we haven't seen inside the timeline. But like with all these movies, I just want to see something new. Even with Rogue Squadron, where we know it'll probably spin around a timeline we already know, I wanted to go like maybe beyond that.
If it's post-Rice of Skywalker, let's just maybe five years and see something we haven't seen before. All right. Yeah, I agree. Give me something new.
Before we move on to one of the next movies, what are people saying out there in the chat about Walt Drone and Feigy's movie? Okay, so Arizo is concerned and she hasn't even seen Walt Drone and Feigy's madness. Lauren says that. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Yeah, so scripts haven't been, yeah. Yeah, in the past, they don't like the script. They'll push a movie or just change writers. Hopefully again.
So I know I give Feigy a lot of credit for things done with the MCU. So I think if he's involved, he should be able to control what's coming out. But again, you can say the same thing about Strange 2. So what's Roberta saying down there?
Yeah, he hasn't seen Dr. Strange 2 yet, but understands the feeling. He was feeling that the same after, with Patty Denkings after Wonder Woman 2. But with that said, now, now movie in the opportunity.
Yeah. Yeah, new movie is new opportunity. I think Walt Drone did not give a lot of attention. Yeah, it was another set of female writers, I think.
Thing is with Hollywood, it's very, what have you done for me lately? Like a year ago, it was like, oh, Star Wars really take a page out of Marvel. They have things together. And now, no, Marvel's just throwing things at walls.
See what sticks like, come on. Like Feigy when Endgame came out was God. He had everything under control. And now all of a sudden he has no idea what he's doing.
You can still say that he is, because even though, let's say that's played down the middle, that takes on multi-tototot madness, it's like a lot of money. People are seeing this movie multiple times. People are falling two years old, like three times seen a lot of this movie. So that's fine.
Wasn't for us. It was for a bunch of people out there. Hopefully Star Wars kind of works. I'll say it.
I liked it. I didn't love it. I just liked it. I thought it was fine.
We just changed everything. I liked it. Like I said, if this was a standalone Doctor Strange movie with no connections to anything, oh yeah, great movie. Give me something else.
But with everything that just happened, to now get this movie, I don't know. If it was kind of weird, the what is it? 838 universe, didn't need it. Oh, the other universe.
Yeah, with all the cameos. Really, you bring all this just for anyway. I mean, I'll define that just saying like, that's exactly how it goes in the context. Yeah, again, it wasn't entertaining.
I was expecting more. Maybe that's my fault. So Rogue Squadron has gone like this. Are we getting?
It's been a roller coaster. It's not happening. It's starting production. It's not starting for what the hell?
We get an official confirmation that it's about. Oh, come on. I'm going to be talking about the Echolite and Harry Pollack and Amino. Yeah, that's right.
Come on. Right this time. Are we getting official confirmation that Rogue Squadron is in production? If Patty Jenkins like walks out and is like, yeah, we're starting production in a month.
I'm going to be like, ah! So I hope so. I really hope so. Yeah, I'm starting her at Swien jumpsuit.
Could you imagine? She comes out and Oscar Isaac comes out and is like, yeah, I've got to be in the movie. I need money. Yeah, I mean, he's back.
He's doing new night. He says he gets to go. He's just going for franchises. It's interesting because he was very critical of Disney when Star Wars ended and he's back at it.
We all need to pay bills. Doesn't matter how much money you make. But I just hear a highlight. So of course we say something Harry Pollack and Harry.
So this is all I'm going to say right this time, of course. I'm going to just highlight real quick. I have a lot of songs to write yet with the books. Yeah, you're so behind.
So many songs. That's what I'm afraid of. Or is it saying that Fagang and Waldron will make a phone movie that doesn't make sense in the bigger picture? That's why I wanted to be like separate.
Yeah, that depends where it fits. If it's right in the middle of everything we know and there's no connection, then what is this? We'll see. I have faith.
I have faith still. Let me see what else. There was a rumor about Damon Lindelof from HBO Watchmen working on Star Wars. I don't know.
That's a rumor. I don't know if we get confirmation on that one. We'll go to one in a second. If Damon Lindelof walks out, someone's a Damien.
I love him. I love everything he does. And he's a friend of JJ. So that connection's there.
We'll see. I have to hold my connection. I'm going to be like. All right.
Before we jump into the big one, there was also news. I don't know where she was speaking with some interview. Bryce LaSour was asked if she would ever do a Star Wars movie. And she said, oh, if they asked me, OK, of course.
Very reminiscent of you and my Gregor scene. Yeah, if they asked me to play the character, I'll play him. And he'd been dying for four years. Are we going to get an announcement that Bryce LaSour is working on Star Wars movie?
Very not. I think celebration, but soon. I think she has to. Could you imagine she's the director of the Kevin Feige movie?
Oh, that'd be something. That'd be crazy. Yeah. Being practical, I don't think there's like an imminent announcement.
It would be very cool because I do want to see her. She's proven she understands this universe. But let's see. But I think it'll happen like you and Charlie has to have it.
I'm going to say that's my predation. She's going to be announced. There has to be an announcement of a new movie. The ones we talked about.
Excuse me. And she'll be there. Lauren knows it. Where's the Star Wars movie?
He has earned it. And she definitely has earned it. Yeah. All right.
Before we jump, I want to talk a little bit about the TV shows and what we might see. I'm going to jump real quick to our rebel thoughts. Because I put it out there. I've got a few people want from celebration.
Andrew was just going to ask about it. Let's say Ryan Johnson, Trillodine. So our friend bug at highball, 2014, and Rachel at the Don Stardose says they want confirmation that Ryan Johnson Trillodine is happening. Is your boy?
You love the last Jedi? I didn't love the last Jedi. I enjoyed it. I moved into the madness.
It never said that it sucked. But I'm really excited if he has complete control of something. Even just a separate movie, a whole Trillodine, Jimmy and Bob, who he's a great director and write on everything. It doesn't happen now.
It's not happening, I think. I don't know, man. Because it's it's been a long time since that got announced. And both parties, every time they're asked, they're like, yeah, it's happening.
And they've canceled a ton of things before. Why not cancel it? And I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon because he's doing the nice out thing. Two, I think it's already wrapped, but three will be recorded soon.
So I don't know what's going on. It's so weird that nobody has been like, yeah, it's not happening. Because every single time he's asked, he's like, yeah. And I think if you go somewhere on Star Wars.com, it's still there.
And they've deleted other posts before. Yeah, for me, this was announced when 2017, 2018, when they said JJ was doing nine. And then I think I don't know that time. And I was like, OK, Ryan just is coming back for something.
That's where it is three or four years ago. When is this happening? We haven't got a movie yet. We're supposed to be getting a movie on 2023, which we don't know.
We're supposed to be wrote to go out and we talked about it a few months ago that we don't think it's going to happen. The secret movie. In this that we announced now, yeah, we're working on it. We'll come out in 2026, 2025, whatever.
But yeah, I'm writing the script. I think this is it. If it's not coming now, it's not going. I wouldn't go there if it doesn't happen now.
It's not happening. But it would be good if he said, yeah, it will probably start pre-production by 2026. I'm already working on the script, not the treatment, the JavaScript. But I don't know.
If you really think about it, there's precedence of this in Star Wars, because after 83, every time George would come out, he's like, yeah, I'm going to make a people trip. Time now. It was like, when is that coming out? It took 16 years after Return of the Dead.
I came out for him to do it. I see that there's so many people working on Star Wars now that if they make it wait and just go to the center. And then we know, because constantly moving projects around and testing ideas. So yeah.
How loud do you think the crowd is going to get? Oh, he will love you. He will love you. I'm just wondering.
Right. Talking about that. I would love that. I would love that.
That would be our best panel ever. Because we are not the way you think. But a lot of people think that they say, this DC versus Marvel, Ryan versus JJ, 8 versus 9. I'm sure they're just best of friends.
That would be the best panel ever. I would love that. It would be very interesting to see them go like, yeah, I like that from 7. So I built on it and JJ being like, oh, I love that from 8.
So I took it over here. And people just breaking down that barrier that they hate each other. They can't sign it. Yeah.
No, that would be something. And then it goes the other way. Yeah, well, you just rose on anything. Kill him or he tried.
Oh, the cutting room. I like her. Then lights turn off, combiders, no one there. But that would be a great, a great tunnel.
But I think if Ryan just shows up on stage, people go nuts. Forget about the internet. People will just. The roof will fall.
I think that would be one of the biggest kind of surprises. If he shows up just like you said, yeah, I'm working on it. Bye. That would bring down the roof there.
The one wild theory I have is not with Ryan, but maybe Kathleen Kennedy talking about Rogue Squadron and talking about Hattie Dinkin and being like, she's not here. But we have a video and we have Hattie Dinkin's on the set of Rogue Squadron saying, hey, we already started production and people who just lose their mind. We posted an ice ice ice ice ice inside an X-Wing. The same one that she used in that promo clip.
It'd be nice. She do a kind of a poor movie following him. What's? We should get them a drink for the panelists.
Right? Yeah, I mean, I'll get wild. It would. And you need that.
And I will have just for them. But that would be a great time. That would be the best panel ever. And then have George come in and say what he did and like about each one we have about each one of you.
I wanted my Mediterranean selmovate to happen. But I didn't. And I was great. Where's Grog?
And then I just shot it. No, no, right there, right there. Oh, man, I don't know where to go now. All right, so any.
That's fine. So let's go into the TV shows. Because we have Kenobi, like we said. I don't think we're getting a trailer, obviously.
It'll be the day before it comes out. The cast has to be there. Plus we're getting the 20-year panel the next day. What do you think we're going to get in the movie?
At most, just like a sizzle reel that ends with, Kenobi and Vader clashing lights here is to just build the hype. And maybe have Hayden and you and just like say hi to everyone. They'll be there. So they'll probably show up.
But I really hope that part is just like quick. This is what I wish again that they had a separate TV panel. But Andrew, rumors are saying that Andrew's the next live action TV show. Are we finally getting a trailer for Andrew during this panel?
I hope so, man. I really hope so. That's like one of those things that we know it's close by. And we've heard things here and there.
But yeah, bring the glue. Again, just ask him one question. Did you find me a good question? They haven't said it.
But that's not right. It says it can't just be. Yeah, here's a trailer for Andrew. That's what we saw there.
Diego Luna, if you're going to talk about Andrew, he has to be there. And by the way, you see the news that it's going to be a three season thing. Yes, which is surprising, which I didn't expect. I don't know how much I like that.
OK. I do. I prefer just give me a limited series. I'm a limited series kind of guy right now.
What's your body story? And I think it's 12 episodes, I think. It's on here. But I think three seasons can still be considered a limited series.
Fargo is a limited series. I think it has five or four. I'm not sure. But give me one.
But it's cool. But then they reduce it to three. It's cool because the start always comes in three. And I really like the news.
It also depends how long these two of episodes are. They might be 30 minutes. We've been to episode. They might be shorter, which is fine.
As long as the story makes sense. I don't care. Look at peacemaker. The episodes were in that long.
There were 30 minutes or 40 minutes. And no one complained about the length of the episodes of peacemaker. I didn't like the first episode. Then it gets a lot better.
So the episode length to me is not a problem. As long as the story makes sense. I knew there were going to be a second season because I'm too big at say that one point. Yeah, I'm coming back for the second season.
Not the first one for K2. So that's going to be two seasons. Now three, if all three seasons are 12 episodes. That's a long story for.
Not a side character, of course, with Andro. But I'm going to be sure that I can kind of out of nowhere. That's a lot of episodes. But it's the one I'm most interested in.
Apart from the acolyte. Andro has been my most highly expected one. So I'm really hoping that we get a trailer. We get something else because it's been almost two years since we saw that season real.
When I got announced, I was excited. But I wasn't like over the moon about it. As it's gotten closer and we've gone a little bit more information. I've gone very, very excited for it.
See? Limit a series of episodes. All right. Let me see what else.
Andro Mandelorian, again, we'll have its final talk about that in a minute. Do you think we get anything else about the acolyte? Like who? Or a high republic show?
I hope so. Because we have the acolyte. We know nothing about that show. And I kind of think it's the next one after we have Andro.
Yeah, I'll probably be the next one. Unless you can. OK. Because I think I just started production.
So I'll start with Mandalorian. Yeah, yeah, it's all the same. So we have a soca. We'll probably get something about a soca.
Maybe I'll be honest. Yeah, we'll be going to be about three weeks in the start of production. So even if it's a CISO real, some concept or something, we'll get something with a soca. But remember, we also have the Lando show.
We have no information on that. We have a bad batch season two. No, or does bad batch have its own panel? Yes.
So that's another thing. We don't get an animation panel. There's the bad batch panel. There's going to be something about looking back at visions.
They also need data and season two. Yeah. But before we get there, OK, so yeah, I hope we get something with the acolyte. So they cast a couple of actors already for it.
So we hopefully get more. At least do know where does it fall in the Harry public? Because I think it's after the Harry public ends. I was always thinking that the acolyte was going to come right after the Harry public kind of wraps up with phase three that might be two years in the future.
Maybe that's too far away for this show. So I don't know how it's going to interlace. Yeah, so Robert was asking about the droid story. Is that animated?
I can't remember. Then I said it was just the title card, droid story. I think it had all two kind of dome for the D and then C3P was there. They haven't said anything else.
Same thing for Lando. That's why I'm kind of, I don't know, Lando got announced. I was kind of me about it because I love it all the lower. I'm not too interested in a Lando series.
I prefer a solo continuation at least with those characters. If it's Lando after solo and used to get out into coming in and chewy and all that stuff. And Kira then, okay, whatever. But a Lando show in itself didn't sell me.
And we haven't heard anything since it was announced. So I don't know. Okay. All right.
But I do hope that they announced some of those Harry public shows. They said it was that they compared it to strangers things because it was a younger crowd. Kind of some younger kids. I hope they announced something like that.
So it's giving something for the acolyte. I hope to get something from those. Are you into a string of things? Yes.
I'm not dying to see this season. Just talking about limited series. I'm like, wrap it up. It's announced only about one of our two.
And it's been like seven, seven, three years. I need like a 10 minute recap because I don't remember anything from the session. Yeah. I know the guy with the hair was evil and he was.
The guy with the hair. Yeah. Whatever with the six. Whatever.
Whatever. I do want to see it. It comes out the same day as I know. Watch it.
But. I literally eight breakfasts sat down to watch it. Finish it. I did that.
That's all I did that day. Probably sort of like two times ago to the bathroom. Yeah. So maybe if there wasn't an audience celebration.
I'll do exactly the same thing. Yeah. Again, I want to see it. But it's like.
Oh, do not. I've lost a little bit of interest. That show was made for me because I want about that 80s nostalgia even though I was born in the 90s. Because like hearing the journey song and the guy with the guitar.
I was like. Yeah. All right. She put in the comments and she also wrote it to us for a rebel thoughts before we move away from the movies and the TV shows.
No, no, no, no, no. My friend Lauren, she says give us a theoretical Star Wars animated movie. We only got in one of the Clone Wars movie. I'll say it's always my least favorite Star Wars movie of all the like 12 movies.
Is it time to get our new Star Wars animated movie after watching the siege of Mandalore? Yes. Yes. Yes.
Yes. You could do a movie in that vein, you know, keep it short and aware and have and just throw it all in there. Animation is such a huge part of Star Wars. And it would be like saying like after the prequels, there shouldn't be any more live action movies.
And you know, I'm not a fan of the animated movie. But I know it has potential to be great. Yeah. I think we'll get one or the way Disney Plus is working now.
I think they'll go straight to Disney Plus. Probably. It's would it work? That's not going to move.
Yeah. I mean, look at turning red. I know if it was gone to the movie theater shows, a billion dollars, just that movie just in my house. We watch it like 10 times.
Oh, I haven't watched it. Oh, it's great movie. I think it's doing again. It's a different cultures, Canada, also Toronto with an ancient family and everything.
But it has a 13 year old girl. My daughter is about to turn 12 going through all those same things. So I connected with that. So it was a great movie.
So they're doing animation is just doing great stuff out there. They're doing Star Wars and thinking they'll release it on Disney Plus. But who knows? Maybe that's how Star Wars return to a big screen is when it's an animated movie.
So Toronto, of course. So now our friend, we go to 28. Eight, how are you? Thanks.
Thanks for being here. Hope everything's going to right over there. All right. So I think that's enough for the live action stuff.
I just want to say one little thing. Because like I was surprised this was going to open the celebration. And I think it's a bold move. Because they have to know this is going to set the tone for the rest of the weekend.
If this goes great and it ends with Kathleen Kennedy sitting right in front of a screen with all the titles and next to all the director and writers and everything. And it's a good panel. We get new information. We learn about these projects and new future projects.
I think it will be a huge win and set the tone for the entire weekend. If it's not, if it's just like, let's talk 30 minutes about Mandalorian season two and maybe a little bit about season three. And if it's like this very thing we've seen. That's repeating what we know already.
It would have been a bad move for them. We'll see. I don't think so. It's been about, I don't know, when was it last celebration?
2019, 2018? It's been a while. So they have enough time to plan this. I think it's going to be a big one.
And given it, and I want to have to have a bunch of announcements. Then happening on Thursday, apart from all the other dozens of panels are going to be through the day, there's two publishing panels, which was surprising, given that TV didn't get any, the video games didn't get any panels, which I was extremely surprised. There's a look at the publishing, which goes totally so I'm like, for a way, talking about adult novels, key novels, look at the press, the array, high republic, first order, all that stuff. And then there's another one that same day about the high republic.
For light and life, centuries before the sky was a cigar, there was a high republic. They had the moderator with Christina Riel, Claudia Gray, Joseon Ireland, and also there, Kevin Scott and Charles Soul are going to be there along with Michael Seaglane and James Wahl from Lucasfilm. And then in depth conversation with the Golden Age of the Jedi, including new announcement and reveals from phase two, Quest of the Jedi. So we already know a bunch of the titles for wave one or phase two.
What do you think we're getting announcement wise for the high republic? We have some cover arts, new characters. Yeah, we have a series of the covers. It'll be cool if we got concept art.
And we're also getting an art book for high republic. So it'll be interesting if we see some of the concept art. With high republic, honestly, I don't even like to speculate on what they're going to do because they've done just a solid job doing the thing and announcing things when they have to. So I'm like, yeah, just take me for the right.
I'm all for it. Yeah, if we hadn't got in, I think it was in one, the University of the High Republic show that they announced, the writers, so the new writers are coming in to right for wave two. They said what some of the people we're going to be doing, then that would be announced during celebration. So I don't know.
I want to cover arts with the new novels and probably some concept art for some of the new characters. I don't know what else they can do apart from this, this has been for the whole year. But yeah, give me a concept art for some new Jedi's. We all want to, who's going to replace the style and geo so far hard for the next year.
Give us some of those Jedi's or new characters out there. When you said I was like, I read that, I don't want to remember a few weeks, I'll talk about it. But I will say, like, do you think, like, if we get like a show announcement on Thursday, do you think they'll talk about it on? Um, only if it connects, if it's character.
I really hope it does, man, because if they like try to play with those characters and they don't break them along, it's kind of weird. That's why I'm thinking these kind of high republic, strangers things, Star Wars and strangers things. I'm thinking it's going to, the characters that we know might just be in the background. It might just be brand new parlance or young things, whatever, in the day like Temple, as they grow into parlance, they won't have L.S.R.
and Ava and all that stuff. Maybe the acolyte connects with it a little bit more about, unfortunately, I think they're keeping it separate. I think so. And you can play a great write in some of those episodes.
But I'm kind of like okay with it, because it's such like a big universe and even in the same timeline, things could happen elsewhere. So I'm not like that worried about it. And Leslie Hetland has, she seems to be like so cool. So let's see.
Yeah, that series, I think it's a lot. That's going to be something extraordinary. I'm really looking forward to what's going to happen. Right.
Then Friday we have the 20 year anniversary for Attack of the Clones. It's also when you know we're going to premiere with those first two episodes. Are you looking forward to someone show up for that 20 year panel? Anyone specific?
I have two people that if they show up, I'm probably going to cry. Natalie Portman or George Lucas? Okay. Because of course George Lucas is George Lucas.
So if he shows up, who's not going to shoot for that. But Natalie Portman has a complicated history with Star Wars and even with George. So it will be very nice to see her show up be like, Hey, I recognize this as part of my life and I'm happy to be here celebrating this movie. I mean, George was there for the Phantom Menace panel.
So it makes sense that he'll be for the Attack of the Clones, go there for two hours and then just leave. It makes sense that Natalie Portman is there. She's back in Disney working in Marvel working with a store which I'm sure was. Another franchise he had a very complicated relationship with.
