S5 EP22: Bipolar is NOT a death sentence - it’s a journey, and you CAN thrive!
from RAW CHATTER! Unfiltered Conversations on the Psychology of Addiction, Behaviour & High Performance · host Vicky Midwood - Human Performance Strategist
I’m joined by Ana Ruiz – Relationship Coach to women with Bi-polar disorder. She empowers women with bipolar to build and maintain a relationship where they feel understood, accepted and supported. We discuss what bi-polar is how it can show up and why Ana’s own definition (which is different to the medical profession’s) makes so much more sense to me and the why she is so passionate about helping others lose the stigma that goes with a medical diagnosis. She shares her personal story and why having a partner who accepts you and the disorder is so important to being able to live your life and thrive. Ana is writing a book of memoirs which will be available soon, that will not only help those who have a bipolar diagnosis but their families and friends to understand more about living with it.
