This is where the fun begins. Yeah, this is where the fun begins. Welcome to day two of Redberry Volume, A star with podcast coverage of Stogger Wars celebration, this is where the fun begins. And I think, yes, once I saw that, I got to play it.
I'm not going to tell anyone, it's going to be a surprise, and it worked great. So, Alty, thanks for being here. Co-host, thank you for joining us again. Unfortunately, Lauren had to take a break.
Two straight days of celebration. It's a lot for everyone. So, again, thanks to her for being here yesterday. And hopefully she'll be here tomorrow.
You have to talk a little bit more about star celebration, but, Alty, how are you doing? Feelings for star wars celebration day two, and then right away to how are you doing on something? Alty, you okay? You're there?
Yeah, I'm here. Yeah, I'm done with what happened. Feelings, how has day two been for you? Star Wars celebration?
It's been great. I've had a ton of fun. I've really, really enjoyed the stream. I dropped off when you said Lauren was tired.
I'm tired and I've been sitting in my couch all day. Yeah, I'm tired because I've been working with us two and a half hours. I'm going to say I'm going to be a bad star wars fan today. I had some homeowner and dad responsibilities once I got home from work.
I sat down. I tweeted to you guys. Hey, I'm rewatching episode two. I mean, episode one of Canowi made it like turning into it and then I haven't done anything else related to Star Wars.
So I'm putting everything on your shoulder, super initial today. Apart from Canowi, because I watched it already. Everything else is on your shoulder today. So Roberto, how's celebration day two treating you?
You know, it's been growing a lot better than yesterday. I still had a little bit of disappointment that they didn't show the light and magic of panel, but it took me like what 20 minutes to get over here. Which seems like a lot of time, but I read it a little bit more. But then after that, once the show started getting in, the live stream started kicking and it actually has been really, really fun.
And there were a couple of surprises that I think was going to happen. So it just shows that when the show's kind of running, I suppose to do, it's a lot of fun. Yeah, I think I wasn't the same boat as you guys and Euro by especially yesterday. Kind of bomb because they weren't showing the live stream.
But once we finished our show yesterday and celebration was still going on, even though it was eight o'clock at night here, out there in California, it's like five or six in the afternoon. So the show was going. So then I watched a little bit of the celebration live stage and then watched a lot of it this morning. And then, okay, now again, this is what I wanted and it was there.
So yeah, we didn't get the big panels, but a five hour show just kind of ongoing. It's a lot of work and to do that, periodically through every day in celebration, it's a lot of work. They interviewed with you and with Hayden, we got that little clip. We have Andor, Cassie and Andor, I mean, Deoluna and Genevieve O'Reilly had an interview yesterday, which was great.
I love Deoluna, his passion for Star Wars is so great. We had Rupert Fiend, Rupert Friend, and Moses Ingram also interviewed. So Star Wars live show has been doing a great job. Yeah, it's a one-brainer getting the panels.
But once that live show that live show kicks in, it kind of, okay, yeah, okay, I'm sorry, it's fine. We didn't get it, but we get a lot of information. Othi, for today so far, how are you? Any news from those panels from the live stage that, you know, thought you by surprise?
Quick thought, I've noticed that even though they don't give the first big panel of the day, when the stream starts, they interview the people who were just in that panel. And, you know, it's not the same, but you get a lot of the same information. Like yesterday, Kathleen came out, Patro came out, and today one of the people from my alum came out and talked a little bit about the whole story. So, I started watching the minute it started.
It started out with Lego things, and that was fun. It wasn't paying that much attention. They announced a new Lego movie, probably catch it when it comes out. But, you know, the Jedi survivor thing dropped out of nowhere.
I really wasn't expecting that. That was kind of fun. The Attack on the Clones 20th anniversary was great. I really, really loved that one.
And, yeah, we'll talk about it a little bit more. Yeah, I've been very entertained. Alright, so there's, we got to start. We've been waiting for, we'll say four years, probably more, maybe 20.
I don't know how long, but at least since this was announced. Ever since I walked out of the theater in 2005. Yeah, it's like, where's that Ken O'H That's a creeper right there. She gets it.
She'll be good in life. You're praying her well. Yeah, I know. So, if you're going to talk about Ken O'H Ken O'H We're calling our shows.
Where is it? I don't tell anyone to put it here. Oh my goodness gracious. I'll find it.
It's a my other work computer. You have five more episodes to get it right. No, okay. So, I'll start with you.
When did you watch this? Did you wake up? Did you get spoiled before? Did you go on Twitter?
No. How did you enjoy it? Okay, so I have a fun story. I went to bed at 1140.
20 minutes before it dropped because I was coming out at 3am. Yeah. So I put my alarm for 4am. And then when I wake up, I have this friend of mine who literally texted me.
I was just about to go to sleep. And I saw the show was up in the car. So they got out of bed and inside. So yeah, I saw it before.
I mean, I have this tick as a millennial where I have to click on Twitter the minute I wake up. So those 15 minutes between I got up and went upstairs to see it while making copy and everything. I was just like constantly opening Twitter and closing. Oh, damn it.
Oh, damn it. But the only tweet I saw was from Amy Gere. And you know, she was just singing the phrases for the show. So thankfully she doesn't tweet out spoilers.
So I was safe there. But yeah, I saw it at probably 4.15am. The first time I woke up at 4am happy. I have a similar one.
But right now, when did you watch this? Did you go on Twitter and get spoiled? Or did you have willpower just to wait? Well, you know, after the show yesterday, I had to go to a graduation.
So I was kind of busy through the evening catch any of the lives we were not doing. I had to go back and do that. But I remember opening Twitter and I saw the whole Kenobi was going to be released early. And I tweeted out, this seems like a, you know, a quality from.
Because we often not showing the main panel to be because you just came out of nowhere. It was like, okay, we're just going to release it early. So after that, I would like, or like, oh, people are not going to try to get into Twitter because I know as soon as you, how are people going to resist not posting pictures? And that's the thing that spoils things the most.
Like you can skip people writing things. I can't skip images. Yeah, most here. Oh, she misses.
She misses here. So I'm like, you're right. I hate when people put spoilers for Kenobi and then a picture of the biggest things. Your eyes are going to the picture first.
Yes, I think I saw it from Mo, actually. Flag the picture. People will just have to click on it to see it. Please do that.
Yeah, I saw a lot of people do that. I mean, okay, 500 people are smart. So I didn't know that they were going to release it early. I went to bed like at 10, 15.
I was done. I tried to watch some. I said, I'm probably going to try to wake up early. I was going to leave work early anyways.
So maybe I'll get home at 12 or 1. I'll watch my wife wants to watch it. We'll just watch it then. And now my son woke up.
He came to a room around 220 or something. So I'm trying to go back to bed. It's me like 10 minutes to 35 to 40. Let me check.
Just in case. So I have my phone charging next to me. Let me go to a Disney plus app and then there's the banner. Obi-Wan can only.
And like, oh, maybe that's yours. Whatever. Just for the trailer. Let me click on it.
And then it was there. It was like two 40 in the morning. I'm going to work with no sleep. I probably my headphones turned it on.
Watch most episodes. Went to bed. Went to bed. I cannot find the morning.
It's like, this is the greatest thing ever. So crazy. I will talk about it. I have no idea how you said that.
I don't know. 40 minutes. I'll talk about 5.30. Quick thought.
I think it was Joseph Screemshaw from Forest Center. He was watching Mando episode one, the day before episode two came out and the second one started and he was like, and he watched it and then he couldn't access it again. Like honestly, I remember doing something like that. We all had similar experience.
I was surprised. But we were only going to talk about the first episode because I went to some of the Star Celebration panels and surprises and tomorrow we'll do the second episode. That was some stuff. But again, we're going to talk about Kenobi and her segment called Coments on Kenobi.
Hello there. It's there. Hello there. And we have a different one for each episode.
He'll say something different tomorrow. Who says something else? But so let's start right there. We already know our watch experience, Roberto.
We were all very excited for this show before we get into specifics. All the thoughts on the premiere episode of The Other Women Can We Show. Overall thoughts, yeah, it's an automatic instinct of love. You know, it's everything that this is a show that, you know how they say don't go in with expectations because you might kind of like, you know, disappointed.
But no, this is exactly what I wanted. And it started off with the check-y, but right away, like within the seconds, it just, I kind of just say, oh, sorry, what they were doing. And I was like, yes, I was kind of happy celebrating that this is like, this is what it should be. Not what it needs to be, what it should be.
And, you know, everybody's praising Roberto and how can you not? How can you not? You see what she did. And I'm absolutely looking forward to the rest of the show.
Yeah. Same. Some over here. All the first impressions and then we talked when we did like an always speculation.
You said that you wanted a Kenobi that was similar to Luke in the last day. Like, is that the Luke that we got? I mean, the Kenobi that we got? We did.
I've seen people be like, Miles spoilers. People being like, it's a spoiler. Sorry for even now, this is spoiler heavy. So just, okay.
Obi-Wan dies. Okay. Maybe not so. So, okay.
I've seen people be like, oh, but this is not the same as Last Jedi because Obi-Wan answers a call. I'm like, you skip like the last 30 minutes of Last Jedi when Luke answers a call. Okay. Whatever.
Yeah. So, it's a different Kenobi. He's in a different place. It takes him a little bit to get around.
I have a lot of thoughts and a lot of theories of what's really going on with him. But this is the word, the phrase I've used. It was a Star Wars Nirvana. Like, everything was there from the prequels from the original trilogy.
My heart was like full from beginning to end, which he's surprised my jaw dropped. I, you know, I teared up a bunch of times. It was just everything I wanted wanted it to be and even more. Yeah.
Like, Roberta said, I couldn't hold back my expectations. This is, can always one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite after Boba Fett. So my expectation for this show were over the roof and I wanted that emotional show. I didn't want to know if Lipi and Iran and all this stuff, just making the emotional why he's been suffering for 10 years.
And we got that. And let's start with how they started the show with just, if you don't remember the prequel trilogy, here's everything that happened. And they did like, just to remember the best one. If you never watched the prequel trilogy and you just, oh, what's the Star Wars show?
You knew. What was going on and how important that relationship was. So that hooked me up right then. And then what they always do, order 66.
Let's start the show with order 66. I'm very different point of view. It's not one Jedi with one part of one like we've seen before. It's in the middle of Coruscant.
When first we saw Coruscant, I'm like, yeah, we're back in Coruscant. Oh, no. Those are young beings. Oh, no, what's gonna happen?
It was. It was weird because it tricked you into a sense of security because everything starts out so peacefully. Like, oh, they're meditating and suddenly the doors open. And I'll say because, and I know I heard from someone earlier today that they posted a warning now at the beginning of that episode due to the tragic in Texas because that's what I thought.
So there are kids in a school being shot at and someone I'm featured trying to protect them. So it's very, what's happening now, right? So that's when my mind went straight away. It's like crap.
This is more emotional now because of real world implications. But then trying to just bring you back to Star Wars. I love seeing that Jedi Knight or Jedi Master just protecting her, the younglings. She took down like 6 or 7 clone 2 birds.
The movements. Yeah. It was perfect. And then I love the kids just like, what do we do now?
And they just head out and you see all the battle below them. Great way to start the show. Again, another emotional other 66. The second one, I think we've got any like four months.
I can't take another one. And don't give me other 66. I don't even work for another, but they might show it. Just to give us again.
The way I see it, there were like 17,000 Jedi by this time. So there are thousands of points of view of order 66. Yeah. I was a little bit shaky on that scene because when I saw the younglings, I was like, okay, this is order 66.
And I was thinking, why would it do this? Why start here? And I started going and I was like, okay, then I'm going to show Kenobi because I thought eventually this was going to lead up to a young Kenobi. But it did.
It's also a little bit confused. And that's when I started off a little shaky to me. It's like, why would you start here? But then after that, it makes complete sense of why they started laying down the foundation of the story.
And after that, I was just completely hooked after the Grand Mcresters. I don't get a little bit ahead. But after hearing the Grand Mcrester's speech, I was like, yes, yes. This is exactly what the show should be.
And so yeah. And it just makes sense. And the whole kids, it's just like, I, of course, they're really bad. Right.
So let's start right there. So another thing that I love is almost everything that we saw on the trailers, we saw the red in the first two episodes. Apart from the photos in Quizitos or whatever it's called, that water planet, that's the only thing we haven't seen and Kenobi is shooting some stone troopers that we saw on the trailer. I think those are the only two scenes that we haven't seen.
Everything else is already there. So everything now is going to be just a crisis. So we start on Tatooine with the inquisitors are there. And we got the Grand Mcrester that yellow eyes make such a difference for everyone including myself that complained that first trailer he looks a little weird.
They couldn't put yellow eyes on him. Come on. He looks perfect. That voice was great.
I love that he, during the interviews beforehand, he said that, oh, he was, I think he only told him that the inquisitor was someone that loves the son of his own voice. So it was the way he talked and just kept going and going. Oh, so this is a story I heard that you hide in a Jedi here. Because what does a Jedi do?
Because the Jedi code is an itch. I'm going through the whole story. It's like, oh, man, detention. I didn't read back on Star Wars.
I was like, dude, you're taking too long. I gotta deal with this. So all the reports on the Grand Mcrester entrance. I mean, the whole inquisitor.
He killed it. Yeah. He really, really killed it for anyone who was worried. I was kind of worried about it because I love Jason Isaac.
So but he really, really knocked it out of the park. And you know, that line from my experience, the Jedi, I hope that so. Yeah. Riva, I'm sure we'll be talking about her a lot.
I loved her. She has some great scenes on both episodes. I'm very interested in her character. I'm pretty sure the Order 66 thing ties directly to her in some way.
I have some theories. But yeah, I really love the entrance and the fifth brother, he got a lot to do in both episodes, which surprised me because he, I thought he was going to be a background thing like in Rebels or something. But yeah, I really love the inquisitors. I love the fifth brother works with the Rebels character.
If I remember correctly, he was very similar. He didn't like the seven sisters just playing with the crew over. They said, we gotta do this. Let's hurry up.
And he's the same. He's like, what the hell are you doing? We gotta do this. We gotta walk in orbit.
When that other Jedi was his name, I have it here somewhere. Nary is the one. He runs away. He just goes straight to finding.
He doesn't stay to see what the ground inquisitor and Reva are arguing about. Spoiler for episode two. Or not maybe spoiler, as I'm watching the first episode, I see now Reva and the ground inquisitor work together. And if he wasn't in Rebels, he would kill him so quick because he hates him.
And we'll talk about that tomorrow. But I love that dynamic. Because he treats it like, you don't belong here. That's most, I don't know if it's more in the second episode, the first one.
Or you cannot tell, so you're just kind of a rat. You just came out from what I was. The first one. Yeah.
And then he gives you, okay, there is, I understand what's going on. He just started to put her down. But yes, it's why is she so interested in finding Kenobi. There has to be some history there.
So I'll put you on this part if you want to talk about your theory, which I haven't, I kind of guess what it might be. But what's the- It's hard because it has to do with the second episode. So I'll take a photo. I'll hold part of the theory.
Okay. I think she's an inquisitor, but not like the other ones. I think she was trained by someone on the side and was then put into the team. Yeah.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm thinking Vader trained her himself. Yeah, but she's- And that's how she- And that's how she- Because in this episode, it's kind of alluded to, but in the second episode, it's confirmed. Like, she wants him to gain points elsewhere.
So I'm thinking she has a close connection to Vader. Alright. So you don't think that she was one of the Jedi that was turned? No.
So at first when they treated her like an outsider, I thought, oh, probably because she was a Jedi and they were like, no, most of them are- All of that. Yeah. So no. Everyone loves Reyba.
I haven't seen anything negative towards that character and they shouldn't. Nothing against most of the things because she killed it. And again, that character doesn't mean that she's there to do a job and do it quickly. The way she was about to kill Nari and then almost killed freaking Owen right there.
Well, I can always- Not that. She's like, I'm gonna kill you. You're right? Yeah.
You're a family. Obi was like- Oh, then I do. He's like, he's over there. I'm wearing the clothes.
But then we jumped to Obi-Wan. He's a broken man. What we hoped that he was going to be one. That butcher, I thought it was a great dragon carcass.
I don't know what he was cutting. They can a little mate for himself. And then- So yeah, it's completely similar to where we find Luke. Maybe not as down, but probably as low as- Rey.
Sorry? Similar to Rey. Yeah. Like where they are and what they're doing.
Oh, yeah, that's true. And then- He makes like some Asopau in his house. You know? Yeah, that was that little piece of meat or fish.
What are he to- doesn't become an Asopau or- It looked like Asopau or maybe Pozone? Yeah. You know, like that just for a piece of meat. Or herbs in there.
There's some sauce, some cilantro. There's a couple of things. There's some papa. Yeah.
He knows what he's doing. They'll give it to them. Yeah. They'll- he has a direct line to him.
I love the little stove that he has. I wish they saw that for camping trips or whatever. That little stove was really cool. But then he has these nightmares of Order 66.
I mean, not Order 66, but of Batman, of Anakin. You and my brother Anakin and all this stuff and I'm starting to tear up. And he's trying to connect with Qui-Gon. He's not there.
He can't reach him. Any hopes- do you guys have any hopes that we were going to get? You know what goes Qui-Gon right then and there? You know, it's kind of interesting to see.
You know, one of the things that I absolutely love about the show is, you know, the quiet moments that, you know, they gave us with him just going through his life. So at the time, I was wondering what is broken about- about Kenobi. And I was wondering is he practiced- you know, I think the difference between Luke and Kenobi is I think Luke was still practicing, but not necessarily- not necessarily, you know, not necessarily gave it up like Kenobi. I think Kenobi just feels like he just gave it up completely, not practicing that all.
So I think that's an interesting contrast between them two. And so it would, to me, it made sense that he wouldn't know how to reach Qui-Gon. Like he's not in the right headspace. He has no conviction in his beliefs anymore.
You see, one of the great things that I love about Owen and Kenobi is that you hear the words that the boy must be trained, but there's no feeling behind that. It's almost empty. It's like the young Kenobi would have been fighting it with passion. Like the boy must be freaking trained.
But in this one, it's like he's a former shell of himself. And I think they've been doing- they've done a great job representing that in him. You know, you took the words from my mouth. So the way I see it, like he's calling to Qui-Gon, but he's not doing any efforts to contact him.
I think he's totally caught up from the force, especially because of other things that happen later on. And that moment with the flashback, yes, the word PTSD, the trauma. But I also think it's kind of the force- like there's this passage in the last Jedi book where Luke has his vision before Rey comes in. And it's basically the force like Nagy on his story and he's like, yeah, you're caught up but I'm not done with you.
And I think it's the force doing the same thing being like, yeah, I know you're, you're depressed, you're tired of this, but something's coming. And that's the way I see it. And to Robert's point, I think that he's clinging to the Luke thing. Just so he has something to live for.
But you know, if Luke was 13 at this point and he was like, okay, train me. I bet he'd be like- How do you do this? The mission, yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. And it's something- I didn't caught it when I watched it the first time, but when you're going down to the second episode and when he finally has to kind of show that he can still use the force, he's like, yeah, you can train the ball. You haven't used the force in 10 years. You're caught up from it because you don't want to call attention to it.
So like you guys are saying, train what? You can't train anyone right now in Jedi. So he starts fighting that second episode. He's a rusty as hell.
He doesn't know what every punch hurts. He doesn't know what he's doing. There's no way he could train a Jedi. Even when Nari goes finding, he's like, you used to be a great Jedi Knight.
What happened to you? He's like, yeah, you can do this anymore. But then we have, we see him going again the same thing kind of over and over and over. And then we see that scene with, oh, when or before that he goes and looks and looks like we have the Jawa coming with a little ship that we see Luke using.
So that's a great scene. I love that that can only have its own draw, kind of ring alarm of sort, blue, good, red, no. So I love seeing that. And love that scene with the Jawa.
If you're gonna sell my, you're gonna stone, steal my stuff and sell it back to me. At least clean it. Oh, cleaning is extra. So I love that dynamic that they have.
And then we have the scene with, with Owen comes closer, the door in the ground, leave us alone, the boy moves to be trained and then he runs into the inquisitors and Reva. Othi, did you think Owen was gonna lose a couple of hairs from that beautiful hair that he has on top of his head? I was like, does Uncle Owen show up in New Hope? Yeah, you know, it's that star-wears thing.
We know where the character is later on, but I was nervous. I was like, are they gonna get out of this one? Right before then, we see someone get their their hands cut off. Great moment.
Yeah, I can always do like, I can't do anything. Which again, you're a Jedi like the Incusator said, it can't be held. Right now, he's not a Jedi. It's completely cut off.
He doesn't know if he goes on that he gets killed anyway. But all the three inquisitors at this point. Well, yeah, then the blade goes to Owen's neck. What do you scale for a favorite conco?
Yeah, what? Actually, and then now, okay, what's the joke? Every tennis fantastic character. Oh, come on.
We know that that scene feels threatening for Uncle Owen because of Reva. That actress just freaking delivering the anger, the spontaneous, unpredictable actions actually is gonna do it. It's her. So, yeah, you do feel threatened.
But you know what? It also surprised me? I know I thought I was gonna see Owen have more co-honest than Obi-Wan. Yes.
And I absolutely love the difference between him. Owen believes that what he's doing is right for Luke and he's willing to put himself and his family in danger. And when he faced up against Reva, you see the confidence in him. Even though you could sense a little bit of relief when Reva was escorted out.
But then you see Obi-Wan can always sneak in. I mean, it's a lot of, surprisingly, I had a great company that got out of timing. So, yeah, this is what I mean, fantastic show all the way. I agree with you.
You know that Reva can take him out on like a second. But I was like, you're not taking Uncle Owen now. This guy has way too much conviction. Yeah, yeah.
He will find a way to get out of it. He'll win just on willpower. I mean, just stare at that. He does a great stare at that.
Maybe he wears her down just staring at her. But yeah, great scene. And then that's where in the six baller steps in, texture to the side and kind of just forget that we don't have to deal with that. And then we have a great change in scenery.
This brand new planet looks so pristine. And they're like, oh, this is so beautiful. Where are we? Oh, Brad, that's all there is.
Ah, my God, what's going to happen now? And we got, not baby, but young Leia. Braid Organa, Braid Organa, Roberto. Finally, all the running live action.
Apart from a couple of seconds in episode three. Are you okay? Because we've been talking about how long, what's it going to take to make an old leaf that to win? And we find out, as soon as we saw Leia, okay, something's going to happen.
But before we get to the end of the episode, seeing all the runs, seeing the organas, bros, I got a lot to do, we see more as the system goes on. But your thoughts on all the run and like Mo is saying, maybe Leia, she's so cute. The little droid, Lola. And that's just for Lola.
Yeah, when you saw the building, this guy's great for us. I was like, no way. And then when you see, even though it was a decoy, but when you see the back, her getting dressed up, I passed. I passed and I took a breath like no way are they doing this.
Ellie, I was at the chose. How adorable is she? Even when she's running, she's running for her life. She's cute, I tell her.
I'm sorry, I'll make up. I'll make up. I'll make up. I'll make up.
It's funny because when she popped up, my daughter first, she said, oh, she's so cute. And when she started running, my wife said, oh, the way she runs, I know, I'm following a little bit. Come on, they know that casting directory for a Star Wars, they know what they were doing with them. You know, actually.
It was chef's when you realize what was going on. It's like, basically, the only person that is going to get Kenobi off that planet. This is the only person. And then if we can, when you think about it, it kind of ties perfectly to a new hope, helps me Obi-Wan Kenobi.
They should have some type of relationship. Even if it's just this moment in their life, they should have something because you kind of feel like they in a new hope that they kind of had something before. So this is just goes back to how well they created this show with love and care and just trying to tie, find those nooks and crannies where they can tell the story. And yeah, it's just amazing.
Yeah. And we're jumping to episode two, but now we see why. And I tweeted this out, why they called the Sun Ben. Everyone, why they called the Sun Ben?
She didn't even met him. Because he said, he writes you heard when she was 10 years old. This is her way of honoring his memory. So it's like, OK, come on, it makes sense.
All the round, the organas. Did you also pass it a little tear, come on? I didn't pass. Not a little tear.
I'm big tear. So where do I start? Like, the minute I saw the tiny human getting dressed up. And it was like this thing, like, of course, it's Leia.
Of course, Leia is the one thing that's going to make him come out. I've been very, very hesitant to bring Leia back into the fold because after Kenobi, Leia is the only favorite character. And I don't want the character. I'm very protective of her.
And there's more in the second episode, but everything, everything, I was like, this is Leia. This is definitely a young Leia. And I tweeted about this, but it just sucks that Carrie Fisher is not here to see her. Because you know, she'd be all over that girl.
She'd probably even give her her first cigarette. I've been happy years. Like 15 years ago. She would be like that.
She would be taking pictures with her because that was Carrie. That thing stuck with me, but I was so overjoyed. And at first, I was like, where is this going? Or how much is she going to be on the show?
And now, like, be her in for the rest of it. Have her be her dad. Like, the fact that they showed her that early in the episode, just gave me a hand. She's going to play a big part.
And we'll hit it, by the way. We had her rumblings or rumors, but no leaks, no official confirmation. So go on them. Yeah, I heard rumors maybe a year or so ago.
And I didn't want her to win the show. Like, we don't need your own versions of every character. But it just makes sense. Because we kind of expected that Beylo Ganos want to be there.
Yeah, go ahead. No, Beylo. Yeah. We talked about it.
So knowing that Beylo Ganos was going to be there, it's like, OK, but maybe we get something with Leia. But I didn't expect to go to all around this early, Roberta. I think we talked yesterday before the end of our show. It's like, we hope that the reason for Kanoi leaving Tatooine doesn't happen half the season.
Like, kind of starts quick. And we got it in the first episode. But yeah, as soon as you see her back, you know, OK, that's Princess Leia. But why with that burgundy design?
We've seen that before. That's Leia. And I love the little trick they play with her mom, with Leia. When I saw that Purple Hanite, oh my god, was going on with her.
She's sick or something. I know it's her friend, the handmaids or whatever they call her. Sorry, she's the princess. We got to where she says.
Ah, she's throwing that in the... Ah, she's falling out there in the yard or something. And then she's with a little Lola droid naming all the ships going by. And then we have that party with her aunt.
And her cousin comes in... Oh, you're Stunkin George. We saw Cetrypius there in the background. And then we get this old protocol droid.
She says, oh, thank you. Oh, you saw the droid with a lower life on them. Why should I be talking to you and I respect that? Yeah, I put that guy down.
And then we see a little bit of hints of her maybe not using the force. But kind of connected because, oh, you're really trying to impress your dad because you want him to like you, you're afraid of him. And then we see that later on the second episode, she does that to Kenobi. Oh, you're hiding something and some other things.
Like maybe she doesn't know what she's doing, but she's kind of in tune with the force to kind of know people's feelings. That's a good way of looking at it. And that's what we've seen of Leia until last year in Rise of Skywalker. That's how she uses the force.
She connects with people. She's kind of with Luke. Well, she connected with Patmaine because she had the memory of her that she never saw. So, yeah.
Yeah, because the final prediction of it. He then parishes back. How did she and Luke connect when trying to rescue him from? He's got this feeling.
Yeah. Oh, I know where he is. So, yeah, she's always been kind of connected. But I love that scene.
And then we got, we got Brea, which is not the same actress I believe from. Every so three, I think, are different actors, which is kind of a bummer, but I don't know what goes on behind the scenes. But she did a great job as a mom, very protective of her daughter, but still kind of, okay, you're still like, you're playing around. No, no, no, no, as we do to case, give me that electronic.
You're not going to use it for a couple of days. And we'll get bail. We don't want to be great on his beard. But still, the great bail organa going down to one day to talk to his daughter.
Reminder, no, of course you're an organa. Forget about that guy. You don't have to apologize. You're going to be a great princess or a great senator one day.
And that's, I don't want to be a senator. That's why you'll be a great one. Come on. Come on, bail.
Don't hit me this hard. It's the word for this. It was a great moment. Like, very Puerto Rican that like, yeah, I know he's a jackass, but he's your cousin.
And he's your son. Yeah, I know if you don't know who you are. I mean it's funny. I didn't know who you're talking about.
It's not. I don't know. I didn't know who you're talking about. I I've heard from him.
I was like, Well, it was a good time. Or on the other side. I mean, I'm like I love having Jimin Smith. Like, you know, we all were expecting it, but either here or an end or both, but, but it was so nice to see him back.
He's a good actor and see him back and Star Wars is awesome. how great the dialogue has been. Even with Leia, she's spicy, she knows her stuff. It feels like Leia.
It feels like her. Even with the girl that just has this aura that like, yeah, you're gonna grow up to be the princess in the general. It's just like, they just have to be great. The, my new complaint with Leia, it's the same complaint I have with Luke and with Kenobi.
In nine years, she's not carried fresh or a new hope. Yeah. Well, yeah, it was great. And we'll talk something else at the end.
So then we go back to to Tatooine. We talked a little bit about this Jedi play by Ben Safdi. She hasn't surprised. He was on that cast list, the first one that was announced.
And he gets killed in the first episode, which again, has to, he can only heart. He kind of, hey, just go to the middle of the desert, bury that lights. How many lights are buried in the sense of Tatooine? So there's gonna be a few, right?
If you tell Grievous who half his whole collection just started digging. I find them. And then the next morning he's dead. He's hanging in the middle of the town.
And that's when we get the scene after that, I guess we get the scene when I don't even know when Leia gets kidnapped and then bail. Sorry. I was by flea from the red hot shit. Yeah.
I was wondering, was that him? Was that flea? No. Yeah.
That bass was laughing that bass. It's funny because now they have a new song on the radio comes out every day. So great dying. But I knew it was him because he, like, that cast announcement came like two weeks ago.
Something came up on flea. He's like, oh, really? That's gonna start. No, he played great.
He did great. He was used perfectly. He came. He went.
It wasn't too much. I just said it like a ponytail. It's back right here. That's the way.
There are other things here than the ponytail. So that's also that's the only scene when they're chasing Leia through the forest. Like, really? It takes you five minutes to get this.
And I have kissed that age. They might juke you a little bit. But on a straight line, you'll catch them pretty quick. It was kind of, oh, no, you went under the branch.
That was a little weird. But everything else was great. Yeah, anyway. But then, then all we goes back, the little ring droid says there's someone here and then we have this hooded figure.
The first segment is Oakcrapi's swagon because it's a tall guy. But oh, it doesn't have the blue hue. Who's this? No idea.
Did you know? Sorry, I'm jumping up because first he gets the points, little personal. Come on, they gotta do something better. Someone's following you.
They're gonna find you real quick. But he gets that call. We got the little communicator, the hologram pops of Belam Brea. Hey, they ask me to kidnap.
I need your help. Sorry. Cause someone else. I was like, I was like, very low.
What? Very low. Yeah, I know. But it's, I don't know.
It's different. Ray at that point. Yeah, for someone that you know, it's so I'm here for the boy. Oh, she's just as important.
