Drummer David “Bro” Lauser and guitarist Gary Pihl go way back—to the early ’80s, when they laid down the thunderous drums and scorching guitar riffs on Sammy Hagar’s iconic Geffen albums. Fast forward five decades, and their ALLIANCE is still going strong!When Sammy joined Van Halen in ’85, Gary jumped over to the legendary BOSTON, where he’s held it down on guitar for 40 years. And when Sammy launched his post-VH solo career, guess who was his first Wabo? His "Bro," of course!Out of that tight-knit musical (ahem) circle, "Bro" and Gary helped form ALLIANCE in the ’90s with singer/bassist Robert Berry and keyboardist Allan Fitzgerald.
