Money promises security, but when we hold too tightly to what we have, it can end up controlling us. In Mark 10, Jesus’ encounter with the rich young ruler reveals that true financial freedom isn’t about having more—it’s about trusting Jesus more. When we recognize that everything belongs to God, surrender what has a hold on us, trust Him with what He has given us, and find our contentment in Him, money can become a tool instead of a master.
