In this episode, I'm joined by Mel Gutierrez, who is a yoga teacher, personal trainer, energy healer, dominatrix-in-training, and a scientific-minded body researcher who bridges the gap between science and magic. She is a cool ass person and I'm so excited to have her on the podcast! Mel and I talked about the intersection of sex and death, rather than the usual phrasing of "life and death", and how these two often-taboo tools and experiences are powerful ways to empower ourselves. She shared about the idea of the body as the first temple of manifestation and also how we can hold the nuanced reality of disease and illness. We discussed concepts such as conscious kink, seeing sex as something creative, and knowing that death is a force beyond our control.
