S6, Ep 11: East Tennessee Fishing Report with Ellis Ward

Join Marvin Cash and Ellis Ward in the latest East Tennessee Fishing Report on The Articulate Fly. Despite the recent wild weather, Ellis recounts his musky adventures, finding windows of fishability amidst rising rivers and chilling temperatures. He shares stories of guide trips, witnessing the learning curve of anglers new to streamer fishing and the thrill of chasing big brown trout under challenging conditions. Marvin and Ellis tackle a listener's question about the influence of the moon cycle on fishing conditions. Ellis emphasizes that while lunar phases can affect fish activity, they shouldn't deter anglers from hitting the water. He advocates for using favorable moon days to fish hard but also to avoid "couch phases" that can limit potential catches. For those eager to connect with Ellis, he shares his contact details for booking trips, inquiring about his next bucktail drop or simply chatting about all things fishing. And don't forget, The Articulate Fly's Patreon community offers perks like discounts on Ellis' bucktails and guide services. With the Atlanta Fly Fishing Show on the horizon and the promise of pre-spring weather, Marvin encourages listeners to either get out and fish or tie a few flies.
