S6 Ep 14 Janna Wilson

This week on the Dallas Famous Podcast it's Janna Wilson of The Love Mic. Four and a half years ago Janna started hosting a Monday night open mic almost by accident, and it's grown into one of Dallas's most beloved recurring music communities. No competition, no politics, just musicians showing up for each other week after week.We talk about how The Love Mic found its home, her plan for a Love Mic Foundation, why she calls herself an empty nester every time an artist graduates to bigger stages, and what she's learned mentoring a new generation of DFW musicians while using the platform to champion mental health and give young musicians a place to find their voice for the first time. This is a great one, here it is.Watch to hear the full story of how a Dallas open mic became a movement. The Love MicSalim Nourallah - "Unstoppable" Theme Song (All Rights Reserved to Salim Nourallah)Electrik Ants - "Place To Be" Outro Theme (All Rights Reserved to Electrik Ants)Andrew Sherman - Your HostThe Dallas Famous Podcast is supported by the Mullen & Mullen Music Project.
