S6, Ep 6: Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report with TCO Fly Shop

Join host Marvin Cash and George Costa from TCO Fly Shop in State College for the first Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report of the year on The Articulate Fly. George, full of his usual zest, shares the wintry mix of weather that's put a damper on fishing prospects. With a storm having swelled the streams, George advises anglers to give the bigger creeks a rest and keep an eye on Spring Creek, which might be fishable once it drops below 200 cfs. As sub-zero temperatures loom and snow is forecasted, it's the perfect time for fly tiers to hunker down at the vise. George highlights some exciting new materials and tools available at TCO, including MFC's new feathers and the Whiting 100 packs. He also teases upcoming fly tying events, classes and the much-anticipated show season. Listeners are encouraged to gear up for the 2024 guide season by booking early, and in a light-hearted moment, George jests about his beverage of choice for the new year. The episode wraps up with the announcement of Brenner Johnson as the lucky winner of the TCO prize pack for his engagement with the show. So, whether you're braving the cold for steelhead or cozying up with your vise, tune in for laughs and the latest updates. And don't forget, your questions can lead to fabulous prizes!
